After a horribly long break we are back! Recasting and refreshing the episodes!
Awhile ago someone stole the podcast and the script that had been written and published it all! But we have it back under control! Shockingly that was the best marketing we had happen so we are deciding to leak an episode too!

(from Episode 1, slightly distorted)
"these will be notes for my thesis and for my professor so he can check my work"
(The audio stutters. Repeat)
"check my work- check my work- check my-"
(A new voice whispers underneath
(JONATHAN MOORE), barely audible:)
"Seventeen times you've said this."
(Silence. Then a loud bang- a cabin door slamming. The recorder shuts off abruptly.)
(Three seconds of dead air. Then the recorder clicks back on.)
Okay. Okay, let’s- let’s try this again.
(Clears throat. Forced calm)
Log entry: October... 18th?
(Door creaks open. Distant footsteps approach.)
(fabric rustles as he sits)
Day twelve. You asked me this morning.
So. Technical difficulties today.
[LOUD STATIC BURST - 2 SECONDS]
(over static)-glitching like that since noon!
[ANOTHER STATIC BURST. WHEN IT CLEARS]
-atmospheric interference.
Atmospheric interference doesn’t make it play back things we haven’t said yet.
[TAPE RECORDER CLICKS. A PLAYBACK STARTS]
[FOOTSTEPS AS MALIK PACES]
Hear that? That’s not possible.
An echo of what? You literally just said it!
(defensive) I mean, maybe it’s picking up radio signals or-
(overlapping) It’s a digital recorder, Lukas. It doesn’t work like that.
(Chair scrapes. Heavy sigh.)
Play the other one again.
[TAPE RECORDER CLICKS. STATIC.]
(distorted, slowed down) "Check the symbols..."
[REAL LUKAS’S BREATH CATCHES]
(too quickly) Must be crosscontamination from another file.
There are no other files! I reformatted all the cards after the first glitch.
(interrupting)And before you say "interference" again, explain why it’s only happening to our equipment. My phone’s fine. Your laptop’s fine. Just this.
[RECORDER EMITS A CHILD'S GIGGLE. MALIK YANKS HIS HAND BACK.]
(laughs nervously)Okay, that’s- that’s new.
(overlapping) Fresh air. Come on.
(Chair screeches. Footsteps. Door opens. Wind howls.)
[FOOTSTEPS ON WOOD, THEN CRUNCHING ON FROZEN GRASS.]
(mutter) It’s freezing out here.
Just breathe. It’s probably just-
You heard it too. The kid’s voice.
Radio interference. There’s probably some-
(Long silence. Then a loud snap from the treeline.)
(tense whisper) What was-
(Footsteps approach the trees. Leaves rustle.)
(suddenly urgent) Lukas. Come here.
(Crunching grass. Pause.)
(quiet) Those... weren’t here yesterday.
( whisper) The cuts are fresh.
(Fingernails scrape bark.)
(A loud static burst from the cabin’s recorder inside. Both gasp.)
(Then, from the woods, a perfect mimic of MALIK’s voice)
MALIK’S VOICE (FROM TREES)
"Lukas... did you hear that?"
(Their recorder inside suddenly plays back their current conversation- but 10 seconds ahead)
(Heavy breathing as they sprint back toward the cabin. The recorder's static grows louder with each step.)
(panting) The door,lock the door!
(Wooden steps creak violently. The cabin door SLAMS shut. A lock clicks.)
(The recorder on the table screeches static. Then silence.)
(whisper) Why is it still running?
I turned it off before we
(The recorder clicks on by itself.)
(A beat. Malik’s breathing goes shallow.)
That's not...that's not what you said.
(The fire pops loudly. Both jump.)
(forced calm) Coincidence. We're- we're hearing patterns in random noise. Pareidolia.
Parei- are you serious? It's repeating our exact-
(The recorder interupts with another playback)
"serious? It's repeating our exact"
(Malik makes a choked sound.)
(Fabric rustles as he grabs the recorder.)
We stop recording. Completely. No more
(The recorder speaks over him)
(A heavy thud from the attic above them.)
We never checked the attic.
There's...there's no attic access in this cabin. There’s nothing up there
(The recorder screams static for five full seconds. When it stops:)
(barely audible) We need to-
(A new sound: wet footsteps circling the cabin's exterior. Something drags against the wall, long, slow scrapes.)
(His phone buzzes violently. The screen lights up, a notification)
"1 new voicemail: Received today at 9:47 PM."
(Static. Then their own voices, but wrong)
"you were right about the symbols"
"should never have dug up the grave"
(A childs giggle cuts through. The call disconnects.)
(The dragging outside stops. Silence.)
(The recorder clicks on one last time. Plays back)
(The cabin's front door unlock itself with a loud click.)
