I try to define the term true love, which most people probably don't really understand. There are several points that must be noted, so as not to misinterpret love.
Love is a feeling that is not easy to control. I agree if there is a term that says that love requires sacrifice. But, love is very against if the true meaning of love is to suffer, feel pain, and get hurt. But how do we achieve all of this when many of us don't even know what kind of love we deserve? I could be totally wrong, but I've always been under the impression that love is meant to excite us, motivate us, and most importantly, enhance our lives in every way possible. Why? because healthy and sincere love is consistent, committed, honest, and transparent. We deserve to be loved in a way that makes us feel safe, heard, wanted, and adored. Real love will never make someone doubt themselves, even tend to be insecure. I emphatically emphasize that there is no violence in a true relationship. If perhaps one of you has experienced violence from your partner, in truth it is not love. In some cases, we take the pain out on our loved ones, in others, we accept the bad treatment and call it love. But this is not love and if you are under the impression, know that you are not alone.
And in the end, I will say that what kind of love will someone get when she can respect herself first. Loving yourself is the first thing to do. Love and respect ourselves and that is what we will receive. We deserve it.
