so ive been gone for a WHILE (like maybe close to a year now) and i'm here to inform you that i didn't drop this cold turkey

So I'm a big writer and I love making self insert stuff because I'm a lonely FtM dude so why would I not? Unfortunately, I've sort of left my hq/anime writing spell. I started this acc during quarentine cause I was bored and it REALLY grew, but I'm a little bit older now, (not by much), and a little bit different.

Anyway my point is that I'm gonna orphan this blog and start a new obe that focuses on writing drabbles and other stuff, and less anime centered/show centered things. I'm posting this to let you guys know that I'm keeping this blog active so you can still read posts, but I'm not gonna write here anymore. I'm gonna be active in the next couple of weeks while I get stuff sorted out, so asks are open for things but less for writing.

Sakusa admits that he's been a little harsh to you. Of course he would never admit to being infatuated with you, but, well, he was. He didn't know why you were so intent on weaseling your way into his life, but it was starting to grow on him.

"Sakusa," you hummed, turning to pout at him. You had your head in your arms, hair all messed up. He grunted in response, not bothering to look at you. You sighed, chewing on your bottom lip. "Why do you hate me?"

He paused. Maybe he wasn't necessarily expecting that question, but given how he's treated you, he shouldn't be surprised. The feelings for you that brewed in the pit of his stomach felt eerily more like a horrible allergic reaction, so what other option than to push you away as harshly as possible? Though, when faced with such a question he wasn't quite sure how to respond. Did he even actually hate you? You had always found some way to be around him. He always said that he hated you, but he still accepted all of your requests to study together. He found his heart beating at your texts and his stomach curling in knots when you smiled. He never wants to see you hurt or sad, he wanted to buy you things and put aside his germaphobia hold you at night.

Sakusa being Sakusa, however, couldn't (or wouldn't) say it out loud.

"I don't hate you." He wanted it to sound reassuring, but it came out harsh. Almost like the question annoyed him. You frowned softly, shuffling in your seat.

"It's ok if you don't like me." You said softly. "I'd just prefer if you told me. So that I don't have to—you know. Guess."

Sakusa put his book down. "Guess?"

"Yeah. Guess. If you don't like me I don't have to keep hanging around you and annoying you."

He felt his chest start to get tight. Was this why you asked him here? Did he know how to answer you? Did he really want you to leave him alone? He must've been taking too long to answer, because to started to gather your things. "I'm sorry," you said, "I didn't mean to spring that on you. I should get home—"

"I do like you!"

"What?"

You stopped, watching him with surprise. He stood up and pulled your arms away from your back, clutching them in his large hands. "I like you. I don't know why and I despise it. I despise the fact that I can touch you and not want to rip my skin off." He moved his face in closer to yours, acutely aware of the tears brewing in your eyes. "I want you. I never want you to leave me alone." The words just spilled out of him like a faucet. It was decidedly very not like himself, but it was a little late to take it back.

Your gaze went a little hazy. "You really mean it?"

He rested his forehead against yours, dropping his voice to a whisper. "Would I be so close to you if I didn't?"

You smiled. "No. I suppose you wouldn't."

You weren't exactly sure when you started to feel his eyes on you, but at this point you didn't really care when it started.

Unbeknownst to you, however, you'd been in his sights from the moment you transferred to Nekoma just two months prior. With all the buzz about the shy, pretty new student, Kuroo just had to see for himself what it was all about. It's not like he was expecting to become so infatuated with you so quickly, but with eyes like that and a voice as soft and warm as yours, he was doomed from the start.

He knows you know he's watching. He can see it, he can feel it in the way you cast nervous glances around the room. And you know he's there, keeping eyes on you whenever you're with your friends. It's not like you felt as though you were in immediate danger, but you didn't feel completely safe either. Much to his displeasure, you always had someone else with you when you needed to return a book to the library or change in the locker rooms.

His friends scoff at him and tell him to just talk to you instead of watching you like a creep. He just laughs them off, saying he'll find the right time to talk to you. After all, if it wasn't perfect, then you might not give him the time of day. Kuroo wasn't stupid. He knew that he wasn't the only one who wanted you. What he was, however, was the only one who was perfect for you. You, being so sweet, so shy, needed someone like him. Someone who would willingly beat down any of your problems and then hold you close. Someone who could speak up for you when you were too scared to—someone who complimented you in every way.

"He's so sweet, isn't he?" Kuroo hummed against his palm. Kenma didn't quite know how to respond. Apparently he didn't have to, because Kuroo was clearly not engaging his friend in conversation. His golden eyes narrowed into slits as he caught sight of the girls giggling in the corner of the room, casting glances to where you were reading at your desk.

You lifted your head, turning sight to the group. Upon seeing their smiling, blushing faces, you turned your head in the other direction nervously. Locking eyes with Tetsurou. He held you in his gaze for what seemed like far too long before you turned your head back down, a worried and flustered expression finding its way onto your perfect features. He smiled into his hand, his previous jealousy evaporating almost instantly. You would never go for them anyway—you knew who was right for you.

Besides, Kuroo knew he had make his claim on you clear. Everyone could tell he wanted you, and he wanted you bad. They knew with the way he hovered around you, just out of sight. His warning glances directed at anyone who approached you was enough to dissuade anyone from thinking about asking you out—nobody wants to get into it with Kuroo. Everyone knew he was laid back, but they also knew he could hit hard, and no one wanted to find out if he was willing to go that far.

For you, he would go to any length. He wished that he could finally get you alone, corner you in the hallway without any of your pesky friends in the way. What were they there for anyway? Always hanging around you, never giving him a chance to find you. He was grateful that you felt comfortable around some people, but at the same time you should only feel comfortable around him.

Kuroo never considered himself the most possessive, but with you something was different. Something was very different. There were so many things that he wanted to do with you, that he wanted to do to you. He could make you feel all warm and safe, he could fill all the roles of friend and lover.

For now, though, watching you from afar was good enough from him. After all, doesn't have to worry about anyone taking you from him in the mean time.

Nobody would dare.

i was in a similar situation, this guy was super into me and my genderfluid ass panicked about it every thirty seconds cause what if he likes me because he thinks i’m a girl? i rejected him when he asked me out cause of this, and a bunch of people had since pointed out that i am clearly not a cis person and even if he didn’t know i was trans, he knew he wasn’t getting into a relationship with a “normal” girl. i’m also in a super homophobic, transphobic country and before telling him anything, i evaluated whether he was trustworthy. he expressed support for some gay ships, respected a mutual’s they/them pronouns and it was only then i told him. he took it very well and we have been in a relationship for three months.

the takeaway is to ensure he likes you as a person and not the way you look, and to test the waters before thinking of coming out to him because your safety comes first
