Transmedicalism is the belief that transgender people and transsexuals must have gender dysphoria/gender incongruence.
Dysphoria can look different for each individual person; it can manifest as deep-seated disgust of one's own body, depression, dissociation, or in a multitude of other forms. However, the thing that links every transgender person is the fact that they are uncomfortable with physical characteristics of their birth sex, or are happy with those characteristics being changed. Not all transgender people are fully binary. And please note that gender dysphoria/incongruence is not reliant on the diagnosis of a doctor.
People who are content with their sexual characteristics are cisgender.
This blog aims to advocate for trans healthcare, as well as educate people on transmedicalism, transphobia, and transgender history.
