Wow! I can hardly believe this! Seems like yâall Samhain-ed so hard you actually got the Fair Folk to show up here⌠here as in the internet, theyâve been in this world for a while-
Anyway! You must be wondering whatâs going on, who I am, all these things, and Iâm more than happy to explain. My nameâs Hunter McKenneth, daughter of the Fair Folk. Kind of their social media manager here I guess. Since they didnât make much appearances online beforeâand honestly might not even nowâIâll likely be the one you come into contact with the most
BUT! that doesnât mean Iâm the only one here, oh no! Let me introduce them to you:
Amaeka Rhiannon (she/they)
My Ma, a well-respected history professor. Sheâs also the queen, but anyway. Sheâs generally the boss around, but sheâs very nice!
Larkin Fagan (he/him)
My Dad! He doesnât actually have a paying human job. Heâs sometimes just our big housecat, but he also does volunteer work. Heâs super nice and fun, but he can get pretty protective.
Kassja Roy (she/her)
Mooom! Sheâs super smart with everything that comes to plants. She owns a flower shop and also works as an environmental botanist. Really such a sweet person.
Seren Rhyfel (fluid)
My Wawa <3 Best music teacher ever, even if theyâre an Incarnate of Chaos. From what I hear, heâs pretty popular with her students. Something about understanding the chaos of college life or something like that.
Cosmo Kasen (they/it)
Adi is a dance teacher AND a lawyer! Honestly, I donât know how they do it. Being an immortal Incarnate of Order with millenniaâs worth of patience probably has to do with it. I could never
Melora Trân (she/fae)
TirlĂłnĂŤwen, mage, scribe, librarian. Sheâs even a Guardian of Avalon! Fae knows a lot of stuff about magic of all kinds, and spirits, and deities, and all that kind of stuff. Oh, and ask faer about her ferrets.
Dane Rhyfel-Kasen (he/him)
LimgĂťlon, our local fashion designer. Heâs a bit of an arse sometimes, and he can be pretty impatient, but he can be really nice and thoughtful. Donât ask him about his cats if you donât have time for a ramble, though.
Gwydion Roy (they/it/he)
Merilion, the one you want to go to if you have botanical or etymological questions. Iâm serious, they know some stuff Iâve never even imagined. Our favourite thing to do together is hangout silently and occasionally share semi-ominous facts.
Briar Hill (they/them)
Varyanasto, surprisingly not the pet parent of the clan. I guess they work around too many animals to care for a specific one themself. Theyâre also the only other kid in the clan I can really spar with, since the others generally avoid combat.
Awel (they/them)
Sad wind spirit tailor. I donât mean that as an insult, theyâre pretty nice when you get to know them, but they seem pretty melancholy all the time. Either that or theyâre staring at a wall murderously.
Nathair (he/they)
Space snake. Honestly, I know heâs Fair Folk but I canât really tell you much about him. Like heâs a poet and they travel in space and heâs a serpent Incarnate but we donât really talk much.

T'Chaia had always been fond of rain and thunder. Drawn to the sound of water droplets falling and hitting the surfaces below, the way streaks of lightning would splinter and crackle across a cloudy sky, and the way the thunder would roar 5 to 7 seconds after.
So when he started to feel tiny wet driblets of water fall onto his forehead and jacket in the way to his rental, he decided to postponed his return and stay outside for just a little bit longer, even going so far as to buy an umbrella from the nearest store.
He could afford to unwind for a bit... just for a little while...
And he unwinded by walking around aimlessly, humming and whistling to himself. Some fresh air could probably do him some good.
Melora leaned against a lamppost as the storm began to gather overhead. With her eyes closed, she tipped her head back to let the rain drip against her face, though not against her clothes. She breathed in deeply, letting the smell of rain and electricity fill her lungs.
She drew slow patterns in the air at her side with the tip of her fingers. The rain was halting barely a millimeter from her clothes before sliding to the ground, something barely noticeable at a glance.

Repost of a super duper old starter but no one needs to know shhhhh
Emilia has been undercover for weeks, there's been no sign of her for a while but that's kind of expected. It was a dangerous but important mission, it was extremely risky, but she was the only one that could do it and fit in optics wise.
Gather intel and stop an attack on civilians, that's all she had to do.
One night she rushes to a secure place and calls the team from her burner phone. She's sobbing
"pick up pick up pick up" she's frustrated now. As soon as she hears that someone's picked up, she sobs out "I couldn't stop it..."
Melora was sitting behind her desk at the bookshop when she received Emilia's call. She slips her phone under her ear absentmindedly before snapping up when she hears her friend's distress.
"Emilia, what's going on?" she asks, her tone carefully calm not to alarm her any further. "Are you safe?"
âI donât knowâ she whispers into the phone âitâs not safeâ thereâs banging on the other side of the phone, yelling. âI donât-â she has no idea what to do
Melora clenches her jaw and yanks open the drawer of her desk that contains her store of trinkets. âIâm coming to get you,â she tells her, not leaving room for argument. âWhatâs your location?â
Sheâs quick to take two vaguely golden vambraces from the drawer, tying them tightly before tracing a pattern on their surfaces.
âTĚ´ĚŠĚḣ̾Ěå̜̟s̸ÍÍ b̡̊ĚĚhĚśĚĚžwĚľĚĚÄ̸Ěr̡ÍÍ ĚśĚąĚhĚ´ĚĚâ̸ĚĚži̡ĚÍgĚľĚÍoĚśĚĚnĚľÍÍ Ě¸ĚŹĚd̸̥Íä̾̍ĚtĚśĚĚt̡ĚÍĂĚľĚÍ ĚľĚĚ E̜̍Ěḿ̡̹i̾̚Ěl̸ĚÍá¸ŻĚśĚşáşŁĚśĚ ĚˇĚ¨Ěm̸ÍĚÊ̜̺Íi̲̾Ěḧ̸ÍĚ,â she whispers. She feels a lurch in her stomach before being teleported to Emiliaâs side.
âItâs me,â she tells her in a whisper, her empty hands raised. The small blue gems on faer vambraceâs glow faintly. âItâs Melora, donât panic.â
âHey, hey, itâs okay,â she says, gently laying her hands on her arms. She slowly ran them up and down to comfort her. âIâll take you back to New York and we can talk there, âkay?â
âOne, two⌠three,â as she says the last word, a rush of energy flow between them. The noise is drowned out by a sound like rushing water. The light shifts to a warm, subdued glow.
âWeâre in the shop now,â fae says. âYou can open your eyes.â
Emilia opens them softly, her eyes brimming with tears. Sheâs still wildly panicked about what happened, rambling about how she doesnât know how it happened and how she isnât safe
Melora goes to her desk and retrieves a thermos full of warm tea. She gently places it in Emilia's hands before pushing the hair out of her face. "You're safe here," she insists. "Now, do you want to talk about what happened?"

Prince Peter is... not exactly an expert heir to the throne. Ever since he received the spider's blessing, he's been running off to who knows where and doing who knows what. It tends to get in the way of a lot of things, especially princely duties.
One day, he comes home bloodied, carrying a blood-crusted training sword in its sheath at his side. This is normal from his perspective, but what's not normal is that when he climbs through his bedroom window, there's already someone in there. He jumps in surprise at their presence and almost falls back out the window before managing to steady himself on the frame. "Uh... It is not what it looks like!"

Standing by his desk, reading a book that had been left lying open, is the 'woodland stray' he's met a few times outside the castle who named herself Hunter.
She doesn't look much surprised she sees when the prince climbing from his window. Her expression more closely resembled a sort of delighted amusement.
"I knew not 'twas the custom of your people to forgo doors, your Highness," she says with a wide smile.

Stephen was sitting in the seat of his study, surrounded by books, leading to the staircase of the sanctum. From this spot, he could see to the front door, and across pretty much the whole top floor of the library, so it was one of his favourite places to sit, being able to see everything.
Wong was currently in the underground level of the library, up-keeping and reordering books. Stephen was surrounded by piles of books, opened and unopened across every inch of the desk. He looked quite frustrated as he reread the same page of a novel written in Sanskrit over and over.
He was trying to polish up on his Sanskrit, getting comfortable with the conventions and rules, and trying to be able to speak fluently, but he was having quite a bit of struggle. This annoyed him, as he usually took to things quite fast, learning quicker than others, but this stumped him.
This was before he suddenly heard the large front doors to the sanctum swing open.
Melora, a hand holding an armful of scrolls and the other pulling a hand truck carrying a wooden crate full of books and a whiteboard, gently kicked the door open and closed it the same way. Strands of hair stuck to her forehead and her eyes kept bouncing around the environment.
âAnyone here?â she called out before spotting Stephen. âAh, Strange, there you are.â
At his teleportation, Melora simply blinked once before speaking.
âWe have mutual friends,â she explained simply, looking him straight in the eyes. âAnywayâ I have a theory I need to explain to someone before I explode. Metaphorically speaking.â
He nodded in understanding, chuckling slightly as fae explained fae needed to get fae theory out before she imploded from the excitement. He could relate.
"Ha- I get that, yes. I'd love to discuss any theories you have, I'd quite rather you didn't explode in my sanctum. Lots of cleaning up to do."
He said with a smirk, the last part obviously sarcastic.
âYes, yes,â Melora said rather distractedly as the looked through the rolled-up scrolls under her arm. Fae looked up again and looked over Stephenâs shoulder to where he was previously sitting.
âYou might want to take a seat for this one,â she warned. âIt might take over an hour.â
Immediately, she started setting up her whiteboard and organizing her scrolls and books. Apparently, fae wasnât too fazed by teleportation.
âSoâŚâ she pulled out a rough sphere of adhesive gum before blinking and turning to him, seeming to realize something. âBefore I start, how much do you know about parallel planes and, letâs say, Avalon?â
He smiled slightly as she was setting up, enjoying seeing her so excited. He used to be like this, ecstatic anyone would listen to him, he was glad he could be that person for them now.
As she asked about parallel planes and Avalon, he cocked his head. He'd heard of parallel planes a few times while looking into the multiverse, but not too much into it specifically, but he'd never heard of Avalon. It's unusual he hadn't heard of something.
"Not... Much. Like at all.. my speciality is the multiverse."
âAlright, so we have to start with some context,â she said as if she had been expecting it. âBasically, in this context, parallel planes or realms are places that have a deep connection and sometimes look pretty similar in rough geographyâtheyâre not alternate universes though. Someone can generally pass between them at certain places and timesâit really depends on the circumstancesâbut it can get a little complicated.â
She stopped herself to take a breath. âSo yeah. And earth has a few of those.â
She bit the inside of her cheek almost nervously before continuing. âTo finish the necessary context, there is one of these parallel planes that we used to be able to access but since⌠a few years ago, we havenât been able to at all, even at the most auspicious times and places. Weâre not sure whether to problem goes on both sides or not and we also donât know exactly how or why it happened nor how to fix it.â
Melora winced, a discreet thing, almost as if she had let slip something she would have rather not.
"Avalon is more like a gateway," she said, though her tone had turned slightly more reluctant. "You can think of it like a locked door to which we've lost the key, I guess."
âSooomewhatâŚâ Melora says, tugging at the hem of her shirt. âIn this analogy itâs somewhere between finding the key and recreating it based on a blurry picture and a verbal descriptionâŚâ
Then, she clears faer throat and taps the whiteboard she installed. âBut thatâs not the important part. Thereâs still my newest theory.â

TW: for vomit and pregnancy scare
In this AU, Emilia doesnât have a set love interest + it might not be a baby đ
It started with the aches, the mood swings, the fatigue. She could just be sick. Thatâs what she kept trying to tell herself. Sheâs just sick, itâs nothing, people get sick all the time. Itâll go away.
She should check. Right? Just in case. Just pee on a stick and itâll come out negative and everything will be fine. She fidgets with the box in her hand, chewing on the tip of her thumb nervously.
Her train of thought was quickly cut off by a sudden wave of nausea. She rushes out of her room, almost bumping into someone on the way to the bathroom. She quickly gets in, throws the box in the sink and shuts the door, spitting into the toilet.
Hunter dodges Emilia by a hair as she rushes to the toilet. She blinks twice, processing what happened before turning to the bathroom door and taking a step closer.
âUh⌠Emilia?â she calls out. âAre you okay in there?â
