how could anyone have placed you as Second Best in their mind? how could anyone have had you in their hands, just to let you slip away? how could anyone have looked you in the eyes, just to go and leave? I say that I don’t understand, but really, I do know why: They never saw the same person I see They never knew know the same person I know you say it’s because I bring out the best in you; a different side of you; such happiness that was never there before but I know that you have had it inside you all this time I know that you were born with that heart of gold inside your chest and I am so lucky, and so grateful, to be the only one who has ever seen its true capacity 

i miss when i was like 12 and it would be the night before a big field trip or something and i couldnt go to sleep because i was so excited. i miss being so into a book that i would stay up past my bed time reading it. everything seems so bland or something idk. i’m only 19 and everything is so tiring. i miss wanting to be awake
