Welcome to the archive!
Greetings! Welcome to the internet branch of the Aftzaak Central Library’s Archival Office—or, put simply, a hybrid blog/archive for all things Magus of the Library!
Since this came about from a desire to keep all of extra stuff Mitsu Izumi has posted online archived for easy viewing, many of the images on here will be from her Twitter account. She keeps it locked outside of the few months around a Japanese volume’s release in the summer, but she does accept follow requests, so it’s worth a follow if you’re (still?) on the platform. Said images will also be uploaded to a public Google Drive folder that is accessible here.
This endeavor is more or less following the footsteps of the fan archive for Witch Hat Atelier, another fantasy manga with similar vibes aiming a more traditionally whimsical feeling in contrast to Magus's sprawling expansiveness. (For English readers, the similarities between Magus and Witch Hat aren't exactly a coincidence, as they share the same translator, Stephen Kohler.) As of the time of posting, a specific organizational structure still needs to be figured out, as pretty much everything is in its original Japanese—of which the webmaster knows some, but not nearly enough to confidently translate anything complex. Since Magus is still rather obscure, fanworks (art, fiction, etc.) are hoped to be hosted on this blog as well, though this might change in the future.
Unless stated otherwise, none of the images/fanworks on this website belong to the webmaster. Sources will be provided whenever possible. Please support the manga by either buying chapters or books from their official publishers, or borrowing them from your local library!
