The way to the lion dance.

The more I read this story, the more I like it. It's like falling in love. You discover the world and its characters, everything is new so it takes time to truly appreciate them. Would I truly fall for this new universe? Will the romance be satisfying? Are the main characters interesting enough? Thankfully, I can answer yes to every question. However, even if I liked the books I can't forget some of its flaws.

I didn't expect the system and the heavens of this universe to play a major role. I thought they would only appear at the beginning of the story. Then, like many other transmigration stories, they would become useless when the main character changes too many things. However, I see that they are truly here to make things more difficult. An amnesia?! I hate this, but it is surely a way of putting obstacles to the romance. I admit that I didn't really like it. It creates a very big time jump that wasn't necessary in my opinion. We'll see in the last volume if it makes sense. Thankfully, the main characters are what drew me to the stories.

Qingshi, poor soul, I really liked how he makes rationality a thing in his life. Failing? No worries, you can just start again because life is made of failures. It's such a great way of overcoming difficulties. He says he is not good at expressing his thoughts, but he is gentle and he thrives to do better every time. How not to fall for him? I like that he is this mix of a modern doctor and cultivator at the same time. Also, this is someone who is so open-minded. It's not something you always find.

As for Wuhuan, he is really a compelling character. His madness/illness is making him a danger for everyone except Qingshi, but it's part of his charm as a character. He will do everything to keep Qingshi around him no matter what. Yet, you can't fault him. After Qingshi disappeared, he became an evil god while waiting for his return and his past still haunts him. Perhaps, the whole story is his journey towards healing and he is far from being healed. Granted, so many things and people are trying to make him fail.

I loved how the relationship between the main characters progressed. I only wished the writer would let us enjoy their happiness a little more, before taking it away from us and them. It was too short and they directly had to endure sadness and separation.

Characters we learned to appreciate have disappeared to give us one of the most annoying characters: Song Jincheng. We had previously encountered friends and foes, but none can be so clueless and boring than this one. I hope he won't stick in the next and final volume.
