Most of the Stranger Things fandom absolutely sucks. They tend to focus on the most irrelevant details and not care for any of the characters that aren’t ‘interesting’. Interesting, in their opinion, is either white, romantic or attractive. They shove aside characters they don’t find intriguing.

- Lucas isn’t interesting because he’s black

- Will isn’t interesting because he has no romantic relationship

- Dustin isn’t interesting because he’s not considered attractive

The only reason people find Mike Wheeler interesting is because he’s dating El. El, one of the main characters of the show because of her telekinetic abilities from being in a lab. She’s interesting enough, right? She’s white, she has a romantic relationship, and she is attractive. People give her so much attention and devotion because she is awesome, but people focus on her for the wrong reasons. They don’t care about her past and the different things she went though, instead people find it intriguing about her make out scene with Mike or her relationship with Mike. 

Which is ridiculous because we have so much back story on her. We know about her mother and how she became who she is, we learned about El’s different experiences in the lab, and we learned about her freaking favorite food. Everyone knows what El’s favorite food is but where’s Dustin’s dad? How does Lucas cope with the bound to be racism in a mostly white town? How did Will change after the possession?

You guys can press on to learn about two fourteen year olds’ relationship, but not give any fucks about some things that should be establish. Especially on such a popular show. They should point out the racism that Lucas has to deal with! The issues of Dustin only having a mother at such a time in the 80s! Except nobody cares about that.

This season, I would have rather learned how the party dealt with the traumatic experiences of season 2. Max went from an abusive family life to have to deal with monsters too. How did she deal with that? Will was POSSESSED and had to get the thing practically burned out of him, how was he after that? Dustin lost a close pet, on top of having to deal with almost dying a few times from monsters. Lucas almost got his ass kicked because Billy was racist. But instead I watched some dumb teen drama, that ruined a character, made one character only about relationships, and shoved aside anything that happened in season 2.

it wasn’t george floyd’s protesters who started reacting violently; it was the cops.

the protest was peaceful until the cops showed up in riot gear, and started using water cannons, followed up by tear gas and rubber bullets. i got videos from friends who were there, of people screaming and running away from the cops shooting the water cannons, rubber bullets and throwing tear gas at them. they were even shooting at the protesters dragging people away to get medical attention.

speaking of medical attention, dispatch refused to provide any medical attention to the protesters. people literally had to drive their bleeding friends to the hospital because they refused to send ambulances.

cops are using non-lethal weapons in a lethal way. they shot rubber bullets into people’s heads and injured them. there’s dozens of photos of protesters with bleeding head wounds from the rubber bullets.

multiple people used police scanners and heard that there were undercover cops pretending to be violent protesters who were throwing rocks and whatnot at the police, with dozens of eyewitness accounts confirming that information.

the person who instigated all the chaos last night (it was a fire at an autozone) with the looting and burning buildings is highly suspected to be an undercover cop pretending to be a protester, because the video of him keeps getting taken down. protesters tried to stop him but couldn’t because he had a hammer and they were scared for their safety.

the cops jammed cell phone towers and cut live streams to interrupt broadcasts and to prevent people from seeing what was really going on and who actually started the violence.

the cops lied about protesters being armed and about throwing rocks and are literally trying to continue the violence happening and yet no one is holding them accountable for that.

and during all this, the cop that murdered george floyd still hasn’t been arrested. he has had more than ten complaints filed against him and was involved in three other civilian shootings in the past. and yet he’s still out free along with his three other buddies involved, probably sitting on his couch while all this chaos is happening.
