Mmmm this one was good, I almost ditched it early on but I’m really glad I stuck it out. A thought-provoking and fascinating story, for sure.

I’ve been on my radical sabbatical for ten days and I have *finally* started to really chill the fuck out. I have a therapy appointment at noon and then it’s relaxing for the rest of the day.

I can’t remember the last time I finished a book for fun. So it felt nice to revisit an old friend from my youth, Jessica Darling and the antics in Pineville. Overall, this book reads very easy and I crushed it in about two days. I graduated from high school in 2007, so certain moments were very relatable to my own experiences. But it was written in 2000 so there are a few cringe things that did not age well (tw: disordered eating, fat shaming, slut shaming, racial stereotypes) so tread carefully.
