here’s another thing to consider: why is it socially offensive to dislike hugs or other physical contact? when did we decide that people who don’t like being touched are freaks?

it’s not like i’m some kind of weirdo with a permanent bubble of personal space. i love sex and sensuality with a PARTNER but i don’t like being touched without asking by friends, family or acquaintances. not even hugs or shoulder taps or anything. i don’t like it.

maybe it is a female thing… maybe we expect women to be ok with physical contact from anyone because our bodies are considered public property…
