Airbrush shirts need a little bit of special treatment, but it’s very manageable. Before I send out commissions, I use a shirt press to heat set the artwork. But honestly, all an airbrushed shirt needs is a hot clothes iron to it for 5 minutes, or until the paint has a noticeably ‘smoother’ texture than it had before ironing.
The colors thrive best when shirts are machine-washed inside out with cold water. The most important note is that airbrush shirts must be hung to dry. Your clothes dryer will suck the pigment out of the fabric!!!
TLDR? As long as your shirt stays out of the dryer, it will be just fine. My favorite piece is over 2 years old now, and has survived many accidental dryer incidents.
