When you log onto a sugar daddy dating site, you need to beware of internet scammers who pretend to be sugar daddies.

The way that one of the scams works is that the scammer will inbox you and chat you up. They will then offer you a weekly or monthly allowance and ask for your bank information so they can wire you the money. Once they wire the money, they will ask that you send them back a portion of the money using a money transfer service or through gift cards. A few days later the bank identifies that wire as fraudulent and now your bank account goes negative and you have to pay back whatever of the money you spent.

This is an illustration I did for the August 2014 issue of Popular Science Magazine. The assignment was to show a scifi take on human aging in the future. I wanted to do something relatively positive, so I drew a lady whose life has been been prolonged through cybernetic enhancements and augmentation, so she gets to spend time with her great-great-great-great grandchildren.
