200 Visions

Yesterday I announced my run for a city council at large seat in Paterson. I’ve been met with so much excitement and support. Love is how we come together. Solidarity is how we fight together. Love and solidarity is how we will win.

So many people have been reaching out how to support my campaign.

But this isn’t my campaign. This is our campaign.

We’re going to change the city. We are going to build the type of city we want to live. That means we are including and welcoming everyone.

This is phenomenal! These young and beautiful women from Mexico are proud of their African roots. The dance is a peculiar expression of their love and respect for the culture they relate to. These women identified themselves as Black and even made the government include them as Afro-Mexicans in the national census in 2015!
