Growing older means that everything you have been through and the knowledge you have gathered are combined. The knowledge gathered twists into a tangled mess. A mess that only you can unfold when you are ready. Growing older makes my inner child hurt. I hear the rips and tears of my heart when the darkness comes. My inner child feels restrained because my words mean nothing. Communication is a one way road with the end of it being a dark alley. The darkness thickens when every step taken. Trying to communicate as effectively as possible but always ends with a wall. A dark slimy wall that collects the words in its slime and parts of the messages slide through the cracks. My inner child was to scream at the top of her lungs because my words mean nothing to you. Day by day my life was sculpted by you. My cage you sculpted with you hands. My cage that I finally escaped. I can see the anger in your eyes that I am out of my cage. I see all the heart aches I have been through. I can feel all the words I have tried to speak to you. I can feel the pressure that I have when i speak to you. Growing older means having to heal your inner child. Heal myself.
