minecraft response 3
It was a week that we finalized our game. Last Tuesday, we got responses from students who played our game. The changes that they listed were that it was too easy to beat the game, game mode needs to be set adventure mode, and time in the game should be at night, so that the monsters would not die by themselves in day time. While Roger was changing the levels and setting of the game, Nikki and I worked on the lighting of the all arenas. Since we have to set the game at night, players will have poor visibility to play. In order to avoid it, we have to set multiple lights in the arenas. After setting all lights, we thought it would be nice to place a building at end of the game, so that players will know where the ending of the game is. Therefore, we build a small house, and inside of it, we put a sign that tells players that they beat the game.
Totally, I really enjoy doing this unit 3 project. Since I am not good at writing and reading, it was exciting to play games that other students made and create a game on the computer, and I thought this project was really unique. It might be the best project that I had. However, I wish we had more time to work on. I wanted to make more elaborate arenas and the rule of the game. Also, it was a little bit painful to be not able to work on the game outside of class. I am thinking to build a new game that is satisfactory and more elaborate. However, I believe out is really fun to play. I hope everyone enjoy playing our game. I also curious about other group’s game. I am sure that will download their games and play it.
