And to keep celebrating the spooky season, here’s an illustration of my favourite villain! I was super happy when Gillywick Goods asked me to draw Tom for a woodmark design, because I hadn’t drawn my boy in a long time. I had so much fun working with this wicked colour palette and drawing stained glass again 🐍

I’ve always admired your courage Harry, but sometimes you can be really thick. You don’t really think you’re going to be able to find all those horcruxes by yourself do you? You need us Harry.

She eyed the note resting innocently on top of her desk. It was neatly folded and certainly hadn’t been there when she’d left. Her palms began to sweat. She glanced around, paranoid she wasn’t alone in her room, and cast a revealing charm at the foreign object.

Nothing. Perhaps just a simple letter after all.

She unfolded the piece of parchment and read:

Miss Hermione Granger, 

I trust your week has been going well thus far? I haven’t seen much of you since your arrival a week ago, but it would bring me great pleasure to escort you to Hogsmeade this coming weekend. Write me back when you have the chance.

Her fist closed around the offending paper, crumpling it. With a screech of annoyance, she hurled it across the room with all her strength. It bounced off her bookshelf, landed on the floor, and then rolled away to disappear somewhere under her bed.

Of course it would be him. A bitter laugh tore from her throat as she collapsed onto the cool sheets of her bed. The one person she’d been trying to avoid since she’d arrived in 1944 just had to be the first person to ask her out. Her clammy hands rested on her face and she rubbed her forehead in exasperation. Stupid meddling Head Boy.
