“Let me dream, Patrick,” she jokingly chided him as she smiled. 

“Yeah, and sometimes you just gotta kill somebody.”

Shan held him close. “That’s a mutual feeling,” she replied, feeling herself choking up as she spoke. “This time nothing will separate us.”

“Bodhi that’s not even an actual word.”

“Of course I would.” She leaned forward, pressing a kiss against his lips. “So would you, Beau.” She ruffled his hair. “What would you know? You’re only 200. You’ve got so much to learn.”

“I use the Beyonce to keep me pumped up to kill somebody.”

“That’s an interesting theory, except for the part where I love you the very most.”

“I really did miss you so damn much.”

Shan ran a hand through Beau’s hair. “Point taken. You know I may be an immortal shape shifting god slash goddess, but I still need my beauty sleep.”

“I love you more.”

“Don’t give me that look, and don’t forget that last Friday I stayed up until midnight for you.”

“I love a big gay loser.”

“Bodhi that’s gay.”

“Are you saying you want me to become hag like? Because I can absolutely do that.”

“Apparently it’s frowned upon to go to bed at seven PM.”

“I’m old, and bitter, and tired. If it weren’t for you and the boys I would be an actual spinster hag. I’d have a manor and I would yell at children who looked at me wrong.”
