            IT’S NOT LIKE he HASN’T done makeup before. aside from doing his own, he’s done others’ makeup on TELEVISION    ––    and without that pressure of cameras urging him to just DO, in tandem with the fact that heejin is a good friend to him, he’s merely embarrassed.    ❛    OKAY, close your eyes again    …    i’ll REALLY make your eyes stand out.    ❜

a smile cracks the serious expression on her face; a twinkle of amusement getting the chance to shine in her eyes before her eyelids are fluttering closed once again, hopefully- this time, to only open when he was finished with the makeup around her eyes. her laugh is light and breathy hearing his bold statement, fidgeting with her fingers as she replies, hoping she wasn't getting herself in over her head.

there are one too many joints that pop when heejin pushes her chair away from the desktop, stretching her arms with her eyes still fixed on the screen. if only her mother could see her now, playing video games for 6 hours straight; bags of chips and water bottles spread around the keyboard.

"time to log off?" her question is directed at the older girl sitting right next to her, looking towards her with a satisfied grin plastered to her lips. "I made more progress today than I have in like... three months..!" a satisfied chuckle briefly escapes past her lips as she scoots her chair back towards the table playfully, gathering the empty bags and bottles into a neat pile with a goal to discard them on her way out. 

"where are the study tables..?" the question felt stupid in heejin's head- sounded even stupider when she manages to repeat it aloud to a girl around her age standing behind the library counter, a student librarian. because which species of college student didn't know where the tables were in the library? ( her- apparently. )

but she accepts the directions gratefully, fingers clutching onto a pale yellow sticky note; nails embedding little crescents into the paper out of nervous habit. pink blush begins to spread along her cheeks ( mostly out of frustration ) when she finds herself taking longer than she'd hoped to find the area, finally catching a glimpse of the tables and chairs lined up neatly in the farther corner of the library.

only one person was sat towards the outer edges. hopefully, the owner of the sticky note with a time and location scribbled messily across the paper. so heejin makes her way towards the lone boy, her smile unsure as she approaches before she's flipping on a more confident demeanor- the heejin everybody knew her as.
