Apparently some people still need to hear this so: using an 'ai checker' is still using ai. If you are feeding someone's fic to one of these checkers, you will still not be sure their fic is ai because they are not 100% accurate, but you can be 100% sure that you are using ai. For fic. Furthermore you are doing the work of an ai scraper for them. You are, personally, feeding the machine. There is no actual excuse for using an ai checker on fanfic as a hobby. YOU are the problem.
If you think a fic is ai, mute it and move on. That's it. That's all you do.

My problem is that I still can't stop thinking about haitake, and the lack of fanworks is making it worse. Usually when a ship is taking up my thoughts I try to read fics about it until I get it out of my system but there is next to nothing about this ship so I'm dealing with crumbs and the creeping desire to take things into my own hands.
Also I saw a (very short) rintake (potentially haitake) mer!Rindou comic on pixiv and that is living rent-free in my head now. Especially because it has a lot of angst potential and I want them to suffer.

Aspec headcanons dumpster without explanation: Hanma, Draken, Baji, Mikey, Taiju, Izana, Takeomi, Ran, Smiley

Hanma -> makes sense to me, adds to his feeling of alienation (both ace and aro)
Draken -> whether its 'innate' or because of where he was raised, sexy stuff and sexy bodies really dont do much to him. He still has a sense of shame when in situations asking for it but otherwise very neutral about it (acespec//demiace)
Baji -> makes sense to me + he's multiplying the friendships and qpr somebody stops him he doesnt know how to form relations that arent deep nor meaningful. Ride or die aroace for about everyone close to him real
Mikey -> makes sense to me (aspec)
Taiju -> i find it funny + the type to not understand why people cheat ('why, like it's hard to hold back?')(acespec)
Izana -> makes sense to me (aspec)
Takeomi -> i find it funny + adds to the fact he keeps on putting on performances on how he thinks he should be/act (here, by having sex despite not really craving for it)(acespec)
Ran -> i find it funny + he prefers to sleep (acespec)
Smiley -> my aro king
Naoto -> autism + trans + ace combo
Akane -> if her only lines are about how relationships should be/go i think her being unable to feel those things but still dreaming about it is nice (need to figure out if its comphet or cupio/aego)
perfect take, but if i can add to it:
Mikey -> found deep & meaningful relationships early on while watching his parents' marriage crumble, so struggles with the meaning of romantic love (aro or not, there's some questioning going on & i think it fits the character arc). Platonically, he's very open to being physically affectionate (snuggles and likes being carried) – i don't think he really gets what's the deal/difference with sexual intimacy & sex in general (think of his first meeting with Draken. wtf was that?)
Izana -> probably grew up with very little space for himself and no intimacy. before juvie he wouldn't have a lot of time to really think about it, & i believe hearing tasteless comments in juvie would cement his lack of interest in all that. with his history, he canonically struggles with affection, even platonic (think: his good friend servant kakucho), but i think he'd still wish to fall in love at some point. no way he's saying that aloud tho.

I’ve gotta be honest I hesitate to give writing advice anymore because whenever someone tells me your story needs to do xyz I immediately need to write a story breaking all of those rules they just spelled out because I’m just Like That and who am I to further enable other people who are also Like That

The only writing advice that I think is evergreen is to just try stuff and see what works. Writing is such an personalized process, and the output is unique to the individual. It's so hard to make general practices that won't fall apart when applied to the reality of the diaspora of human experience and imagination.
Basically, first rule of writing is to be yourself and have fun. :>
