Welcome To The Clown Parade

Mostly bc I want to draw manga and comics, and I love the way manga depict themselves as some kind of animal, and my favorite animal is a sheep.

I wanna start depicting myself in comics and if I go with a sheep then I feel like that clashes with the other animal in my name.

I wanna find something that’s still funny but related to lambs and sheep. But idk what that is yet.

Also I gotta make sure it’s consistent across everything. 

Everything about him and the narrative purpose he serviced, his character arc, is so interesting.

I really want to draw more for them and get some of my comics out of the drafts, but my summer job is kicking my butt. I also hope to eventually turn my two AUs into fics but I need to get more confident in my writing first.

DofLaw is such a layered ship and I think about them every single day. Yearning.

They’re functionally even now, and with Doffy spending all his time kicking his feet and tehehehing in prison over Law’s actions in the paper, there’s a little bit more of a stable foundation for them to build a relationship.

Doffy can’t help himself and is still impressed by Law, and Law seems bothered that taking down Doffy didn’t fix the shrieking void in his heart. 

I think Doffy saying something like “actually I’m proud of you for how you kicked my ass” is all it would take for Law to cave and jump into bed with him.

Then the rest of the fic is Law trying to hide it from his crew and allies bc he is never going to live that down.

Ooo okay so I feel like my first thought is just why I ship them in the first place. Dressrosa is my favorite arc in the series and I think Law/Doflamingo is one of the greatest executions of the “you’re not so different you an I” tropes between protagonist and villain.

I think the fact that Law is so much like Doflamingo, and could not let him go like Doffy couldn’t let him leaving the family go, is what makes me rub my hands together and think of all the evil ways they can kiss about it.

I’m an angst lover and DofLaw is a bottomless well of angst, and my favorite idea is Luffy losing against Doffy in their finally battle and Law is dragged back into the family by force.

Obsession being mistaken for love and toxic codependency are my fave themes to think about with DofLaw. I personally don’t really get the appeal of like “wholesome” DofLaw bc the real meat and potatoes of the relationship imo is the way they self-destruct in pursuit of beating the other. I feel like the only way Doffy is going to “end up with” Law is through possessing him.

Law in general is such a great character for whump, and in my mind I love hitting him with a metal pipe.
