I'm honestly very nervous and can't believe we're finally here. I really didn't think we'll be getting s4 after S3 ended. I really hope it has better writing at least than S3. That season was so rough. Also I'm really excited about the women's team.

Regarding Ted and Rebecca, I'm still firmly in the camp that they belong together, not just as platonic soulmates. But this time I don't trust the writers so I decided just to see how it's all gonna go. I really hope we'll at least get a lot more Biscuits with the boss scenes than in S3.

So it’s been three years and my opinion about it didn’t change. Tedbecca thing aside, it was fine i guess ? They did win the final match, the guys from the team went on to live their lives. Rupert was done after the allegations against him (rip Anthony Head btw).

But the ending itself was just not it for me. I still have so many issues with it. Starting from the airport scene (really Beard was the one who wanted to leave and to Jane which is the whole other thing, i don’t understand that relationship). Then the boat guy magically appearing again (it was literally out of nowhere), that weird Beard cgi wedding, Ted not being there at the wedding.

I guess i don’t like hate hate the finale. But it also could have been so much better. I still think they could have worked out Ted staying in London like Rebecca offered. It looks like the writers were adamant that Ted should leave and we got what we got.

Again they fumbled Ted and Rebecca so bad. Starting with the fake out scene at the beginning (again why this was even necessary). Ending with them bringing the boat guy out of nowhere just so Rebecca could be with someone in the end. Like ok if they didn’t want Ted and Rebecca to be together she could have also just stayed single right ? But of course no. They had to bring that guy back.

Honestly I thought it'd be worse because except the boat guy I didn't remember basically anything from this episode. But other than that storyline everything about this episode was great ? Jaime trying to teach Roy to ride a bicycle is probably my favorite part of the episode. That was so funny and cute at the same time lol.

Now for the interesting part (or rather not for me) - Rebecca and the Dutch guy (Matthijs). As I expected I felt nothing watching their scenes again. Why ? Because they literally have no chemistry.

It makes me baffled how many people on Reddit especially support this relationship and are saying how excited they are to see more of it in s4. Like I get that there might be some appeal there (even though I don't see it). But what in the hell the writers were thinking making this man Rebecca's endgame. I just can't get over it.

They gave us so many tedbecca moments throughout the show making us want to ship them. In the end they were like: let's throw in this guy who probably will be a great choice for Rebecca because he's not Ted. Plus he has a daughter so Rebecca also becomes a mother like Tish predicted earlier. Ugh I hate it here.

What was the point of the green matchbook then ?
