His Eve is right by his side

ADAM wants to go to a world with just the two people where no one can interfere. Since he’s looking for his Eve while saying that friends are useless because they will always just betray you eventually, in actuality it was probably all because he was lonely all on his own. When Langa realizes this, he reaches out his hand to teach ADAM the fun of skating just as Reki had taught him. Coincidentally, that act overlapped with Kikuchi who taught ADAM — Ainosuke how to skate.

While SK8 is the story of Reki and Langa growing up and their friendship, you can probably also say it is also the story of how ADAM and Kikuchi’s long standing relationship is restored. Ainosuke is reminded by Langa, and Kikuchi is reminded by Reki that “skating is fun”. This restored the bond between them that was started when Kikuchi taught Ainosuke how to skate.
