Over the garden wall, beast!Wirt
I was such a bad ending friends girls when I was younger. Can you guys guess my favorites from then?
Anyways, in my version of bad ending otgw Greg turns of the lanter and both brothers get to the river, but the spirit of the beast won't let Greg go. Since it needs a new vesel.
Thanks to the protection of the Queen of the clouds, Greg is let go, but in his place Wirt must stay.
After a quick rundown by the Queen, Wirt learns his new fate and over time makes peace with it (becouse that saved Greg). He stays with Beatrice's family for a while but overtime starts forgetting his own humanity and life before venturing into the unknown.
Now he wanders the unknown looking for his brother, little problem: he doesn't remember his brother just his name. Taking children from their homes into the woods, luring them with candy and songs, once he realices they're not his brother he turns them into edelwood.
Still he always comes back to Beatrices house and she always acompanies him to cut the new edelwood trees (she is such a good friend).
