Birthday and thank you gift for @robininthelabyrinth for giving us som many good MDZS stuff. I particularly love “Worthwhile Trade”. The main characters' designs are based from the original with some tweaks and changes according to my interpretation of them in the canon-divergent story. Like the time traveling Yunmeng bros reconciliation and as the WIP Twin Heroes.

There’s Guai!Baxia, who I think due to NMJ’s cultivation made er resemble him a bit (but nah too manly tho, so tweaked!) I also want an excuse to draw demonic cultivator NMJ using the Xuanwu war fan and in SVSS peak lord style clothing, because I think he'd look gorgeous in it. Then young sect leader NHS with a feathery fan to elevate his scheming birdie status because why not?

(the bird in NHS’s painted fan is an oriole btw, and the pseudo-seal script characters in NMJ’s fan has Heaven, Control, Principle and Evil, but the structure of the writing is supposed to artisitically (in NHS view anyway) meant “Heaven in Control, Principle over Evil” because he’s a poet and thinks it fits his da-ge..
