I mean I mostly repost shit I actually see or riff on it at least - but I‘m still scared by the fact I predicted the gas leak becoming a thing 🫠🫠🫠

I keep seeing people talking about the finale being the result of a gas leak-induced hallucination. After a rewatch of all three seasons I actually believe (pls don’t come for me I promise it makes sense) that the whole team died from the fumes in S1e6 when Ted set all their possessions on fire in the dressing room.

LET ME EXPLAIN!

There are SO many references to ghosts in season one. Too many to be coincidental (Chekhov’s ghost, if you will). The team become ghosts, which explains the out of character behaviours. Of course they were relegated: they had no players left!

Additionally, in season 3 there are at least two references to smells every season. GHOSTS ARE KNOWN TO CARRY AND SPREAD SCENTS IN OLD ENGLISH FOLKLORE!

None of seasons 2 or 3 were real! It all took place in the afterlife! I will happily take questions on this and I am sure that once the writer’s strike is over (solidarity btw) Jason and Brendan will back me up!
