Nightmare is a hulking mass with him size defaulting to the height of Undyne but he changes depending on situations, he wears a raggedy ripped trench coat with his hood up.Nightmare form actually still has similar clothing to his passive design except he doesn't wear shoes due to the fact that Nightmare base form has clawed( is that the right way to word it) or animalistic feet with hia trouser around the ankle being ripped and damage even though he can repair them, bro really had no style.

Nightmare also keeps on wearing his golden crown. Nightmare also has sharp rows of Barbed teeth that come together to create a horrific and sadistic grin that goes all the way up to his ears which he can unhinged like a snake, but not only that he has a second mouth on his stomach that also has the same type of barbed sharp teeth.

Nightmares Tendrils default to having mouths of them like true form Dracula from dead by daylight and also has a giant monstrous tar arm and claws from his destroyed eye side. The reason why Nightmare has a lot of non-skeleton features is due to the fact that during the apple incident Nightmare was far more damaged before he ate the black apples and had even lost his arm and that's not even mentioning the fact that black apples was always going to make him a Lovecraftian monster.

This version of Nightmares base form could be best described as a form where it feels like someone stich different monster species together.

The form maybe ow the edge level but I think this form really suits the type of conflicting nightmare I want to make.

Nightmare information

I'm hoping that Nightmare becomes a conflicting character for the readers with some chapters having you like him and other chapters having readers want Dream and the star sanses to kill his ass.

Unlike canon, Nightmare and Ccino have a very positive relationship with Ccino just wanting a friend that consistently visited them and Nightmare wanted someone peaceful to talk to as he needs a calming environment from all chaos of the Moon Ascendency and the fact that he lost his original friend who provide him with that peace( it isn't dream ;) ).

Ccino thoughts on Nightmare is that he is someone that is so conflicted of who he wants to be and do, with there being the noble passive nightmare and the corrupted nightmare who wipes his ass with the Geneva convention. Which means that Nightmare will never be satisfied and Nightmares ends justify the means, doesn't matter as Nightmare truly doesn't understand what his end is if that make any sense.

Nightmare when he was passive and found out about the multiverse and its protectors like Core frisk and he began to deeply resent them as if they are so noble why haven't they helped Nightmare and Dream( this isn't core frisk and Star sanses bashing fic, they will have their reasons and nightmare is still 100% the main Antagonist).

Nightmare plan so far without going further into spoiler territory, Nightmare once noble ambition to become a better group of protectors than the orginals have become distorted to the point he is willing to destroy and completely corrupt Aus if it means he can finally usurp and take over the entire multiverse.

Fun facts

Insanity sans and fatal error are a part of the moon Ascendency.

Insanity and fatal error are sans that can't team up with any other sans or character in the Moon Ascendency other than Nightmare as they can be too Unstable to work with.

Insanity is the least liked member in the Moon Ascendency as he doesn't care about anyone feelings and rules other than Nightmares.

Cross will be the new recruit of the Moon Ascendency in the story to give a pov of a new recruit. Same with Swap sans who will be a new recruit to star sanses.

Wartale Asgore and Underflood Undyne keep on trying to persuade Nightmare to wear more king Appropriate clothing but he refuses as he needs his form to be more terrifying and unsettling for negativity. But a secret reason is he refuses to wear King worthy clothing until he finishes his plans and becomes the undisputed power in the multiverse.

Moon Ascendency will have its own post but the Moon ascendency in short will be an empire based faction that has many aus that have been conquered or willingly joined like Horrortales, Underflood and farmtale.

Probably a cringey and poorly made meme but this is the day in the life of the moon ascendency ( placeholder name since there isn't only sanses in the group) when they are not being intimidating villains in Lucidverse story.

Note: I'm debating on a new name of the Bad sans gang as the faction will contain non-sans characters in the faction now.

Introduction

This version of Something new/Killer sans is the right hand man and spymaster of Nightmare, he was the first person Nightmare ever recruited and remains to be his most trusted ally and friend to the point that both of them know that even when they can't see them, they know they have each others back a stark difference between canon nightmare and canon Killer sans.

To give some information about him that won't spoil the Multiverse Au story, this version of Killers au was slowly crumbling away. The universe had straight up died and was crumbling a part as with no human and no activity the universe began to shut down and Killer had accepted his fate long before the universe shut down that was until he meets Nightmare, who wished to recruit him as he believed that he would be a perfect fit for a warrior of his.(and Nightmare secretly felt bad about his prison and isolation from everything and everyone, as nightmare had felt the same feeling.)

Killer agreed to the wonderful idea and since then they have remained partners in crime and friends with Killer being instrumental in Nightmares plans and missions with them being a thorn in the Multiverse and Dreams faction ever since, they are the dynamic duo of this Au.

Personality-

The best way to describe killer and his personality is....deceptive as very few people can understand what he is thinking and how he truly sees a scenario or a person, as from face value he gives off a very sarcastic asshole view of everything and seems to see everything through an unserious lens.

But he is more than that, he is incredibly cunning and intelligent to the point that Nightmare has full confidence in Killer to become his spymaster and has kept the role so secretive, that not even Dust and Horror knows he is the spymaster of the faction.( That won't bite Killer in the ass :) )

When it comes down to his loyalty towards Nightmare, Killer is incredible loyal to a fault and will take major offense when someone questions in it, due to his past experience of the being the 'betrayer' in his Au. With this question of loyalty unleashing a darker side of him that I will not spoil.

Description-

First design

The description of Lucidverse killer is best described as a tall lanky skeleton that has a dark blue jacket with fur on the hood with a black turtle neck with black fingerless gloves and dark green jeans and black combat boots. He has a crescent moon pendant that he wears constantly as it was a gift given by Nightmare due to in Nightmares words "Years of loyalty(Being best friends)" a major issue with Killers clothes is their is always something messy with it with being something minor like Crinkles and dirt to monster dust or blood due to how little he cares for hygiene many.

Powers-

He still has stages like canon.

Killer maintains a lot of his canon Killer sans and normal sans abilities with him out of the Murder time trio being the most creative with them due to his unique skill set and the fact that he has an incredible regeneration factor from nightmares boon allowing him to use dangerous close combat magic and gaster blasters to his advanatage.

Do to the amount of lvl and experience Killer sans has with training against Undynes and asgore who work with Nightmare, he is actually really good with close combat from Knives to unarmed combat.

The power that was gifted to him by Nightmare is the ability to have an incredible regeneration factor that allows him to heal from nearly every injury.

He is able to generate powerful magical knives.

A side affect of Nightmares boon is the fact that Nightmare toxic and poison magic has added a poison affect to every single one of Killers attacks that can leave a feeling of dread and hallucinations in most monsters, but some of either have resistance to the feelings from the poison or straight up immune to to an example being, error, Ink and Dream.

He is the fastest member of the Bad sans gang.

Weaknesses-

Killers biggest weakness is the fact that he is very arrogant and prideful and has a history of underestimating people and not taking them seriously because of the power difference meaning that fights and objectives that should be completed quickly take way longer at times.

While Killer sans has a incredible healing factor from Nightmare he can still be slowly taken down and exhausted from all the wounds he takes and regenerates from.

Relationships

Nightmare-

Nightmares and Killers dynamic in this au is far more healthy than Canon Nightmare and killers dynamic, with them pretty much having a bromance and a dynamic duo thing going on, that sometimes overshadows the rest of the group.

Colour-

Lucidverse color and Something new sans have a pretty good relationship and secret friendship even though they are opposite sides of the conflict. This is due to the fact that just like in the canon Something new au Color has helped killer with many things but unlike Canon in the Lucidverse Nightmare and Something new sans have a long lasting positive friendship with each other many years before color and Killer had become friends and talked. So, LucidVerse killer refuses and is disgusted at the idea of betraying nightmare but is also disgusted at the idea of killing Color and refuses to do so and does his best to keep this friendship secret.

Horror-

Like everyone in Nightmares faction, Killers relationship with horror is positive but it originally had a very rough start, without going into too many spoilers, Killers past and Nightmares faction brutality play a major role in why this relationship starts off very rough. But Killer and horror have a little sibling and older sibling relationship in my mind, where Horror and killer have this dynamic where Horror lets killer get away with his small pranks and only says "Don't get caught" but will always be the one to reign him in if Nightmare isn't there to reign him in as Horror is pretty much the unofficial leader where Killer will follow Horrors orders gladly and will always advocate for Horror to be in charge of a operation or mission.

Dust-

Dust and Killer friendship can be best summed up without any major spoilers, being friends that constantly bicker and spar(Fight) with each other but will have each others back and get really angry and protective over each other. However, there is some drama in their dynamic as Killers secretive nature constantly causes distrust and trickery that causes major drama as the series goes on.

Hello, I know I'm new and have just started on my Au of the undertale universe and writing character profiles and lore building of my characters and the groups they are a part of.

Here is some fun facts and hints about my Au while, Something new sans/ Killer sans character profile is close to being finished.

Before corruption, Nightmare was more magically gifted than dream but dream was more physical, athletic and a better archer and weapon user.

If nightmare was never corrupted he would of acted like a mage/sorceror.

Corrupted nightmare isn't a parasite in this Au, he is passive Nightmare.

Nightmare likes to make his tendrils have mouths like true form dracula in dead by daylight.

Killer sometimes misses when Nightmares faction was so small.

Horror is in charge of making sure that the defenses like traps are operational in Nightmares Citadel.

Their is an unconvential sans in the Nightmares faction.

Cross is currently unaffilated.

One of Nightmares favourite things to say is "I'm getting too old for this shit"

An original Asgore, Undyne and Asriel will play a large role in Nightmares faction.

Swap and Killer have one of the most serious rivalries in the au.

Swap has been newly recruited in this Au.

Ink and dream have a very rocky friendship in this Au due to different opinions on how to handle the Aus.

Dream isn't a bad brother in this Au.

Lucidverse Nightmares Boons-

Nightmares Boons are gifts and powers that are given to his closest allies that have served for many years, and allow his allies to fight and beat opponents they would normally loose against. These powers have to based on Nightmares own skillset.

The origin of these Boons is when Lucidverse Nightmare realised that the murder time trio were slowly struggling to complete team or solo missions. Due to the fact they were slowly getting power crept on by demigods or other powerful humans or monsters, and so gave them powers to them.

Current Boon users and their powers:

Killer-

Killer was given a boon based on Nightmares insane regeneration allowibg him to heal pretty much from any injury and allow him to stay in the fight and allows him to fight in close range without a lot of risk.

Dust-

Unlike horror and Killer, Dust fights like a normal sans but deadlier and more unstable and so Nightmare gifted Dust pretty much unlimited endurance and stamina allowing him to spam his magic without any risk or any limit, allowing him to teleport all over the place and spam gaster blasters to the point every fight with him is a scorched earth response.

Horror-

Horror was given Nightmares ability to create nightmarish spawn and minions, horror normally uses it to create powerful skeleton hunting hounds which gave him the nickname the houndmaster. This power works well with Horror as he is the best at teamwork and organisation being the leader of his version of Snowdin and allows him to put pressure on everyone and cover killers and Dust weak points or blind spots.

Nightmare- Leader and master strategist of the bad sans

Introduction

This version of corrupted nightmare is still passive nightmare and not a parasite which plays a massive role in how he acts and will hopefully show the complexity and tragedy of his character as while yes nightmare in this multiverse is pretty much the main antagonist of this multiverse and he will earn that title with the evil things he will do in this story. The inclusion of nightmare still being passive and being able to create bonds with certain monsters and may be humans show that deep down there is a part of his old self trying to claw his way out of his sludge and tar prison.

 In this au he is a weird mix of the ruthless canon nightmare and the fanon ‘dadmare’/ Good leader and what I mean by this is that he has a soft spot for his team due to the fact that he is still passive nightmare no matter how much he tries to shove his old self sensitivity and compassion he will see someone like him with Dust the feeling of being trapped, with killer its isolation and with Horror it is the feeling of being forced to do horrible things to survive and the fact that Undyne and Alphys betrayed horror like how he feels like he was pushed around by the villagers and forced to do something drastic.

However, when it comes to people outside of his faction, he retains a lot of his canon demeanour which includes sadism and his terrifying manipulative tendencies and how he is willing to do anything to get what he wants and achieve his goals, the goals being to take over the multiverse by corrupting it and then puppeteering from the shadows as he understands that while the universe needs positive and negative emotions to function doesn’t mean he can’t twist into his favour.

 Design

While I’m not an artist I have come to love the design choice some people have with nightmare making him more monstrous and eldritch looking and so, this version of corrupted nightmares design is far more monstrous and eldritch looking with him in most situations having sharp rows of Barbed teeth that come together to create a horrific and sadistic grin that goes all the way up to his ears which he can unhinge like a snake, multiple eyes across his body and tendrils and defaulting to the size of Asgore with monstrous bone crushing claws and long four tendrils with his tar and sludge goop being able to take an acidic and toxic property’s as negative emotions can be harmful and toxic.

But when he is interacting calmy with his allies he tries to maintain a more appealing version of himself which is closer to his canon design look, accept he sucks at it and just becomes a smaller version of his monstrous form (which would for be the same size of papyrus) but replace his sharp rows of teeth with an uncanny valley grin.

This is because Nightmare is basically an entity made of pure negativity and so struggles to create forms that everyone would universally be comfortable with and is one of his major weaknesses he struggles to understand why star sans try and help people they don’t even know. Hell, hes only been able to treat his faction kindly due to their situations which re-awakens how he was when he was passive and allows him to create bonds that he really shouldn’t logically be able to make as a being of negatively he shouldn’t be able to have good relationships within his faction.

The reasoning behind this more honestly edgy (Hopefully not cringey design) and disturbing design is I want to give Nightmare this feeling of being and looking like the final boss and give of the air that he is truly a nightmare that has come to life. While also showing how strange it is from an outsider perspective when you see this Lovecraftian horror have a positive reaction and interact with his subordinates.

Powers-

This version of nightmare has a large range of powers and abilities like for example:

Mind manipulation

Being able to shape shifting into pretty much everything and sometimes even get some of their abilities but the goop tar like body gives him away always.

Acid and toxic goop which he can turn off or on.

Immortality

Insane levels of Regeneration

High levels of Durability and Endurance outside of his regeneration.

Superhuman (Super monster?) levels of strength

Impressive reaction time.

Summoning horrific spawn or people’s biggest fears to fight for him

Master strategist

Powerful Anti-magic which affects his opponents the more negative they are ( Ink and dream are pretty much immune or have a high resistance to it).

The ability to create mass amounts of his goopy tar to containment the battlefield.

Dark sorcery

However, his biggest and most powerful ability is just how much of a biohazard he is to universes that he enters when he isn’t to contain his magic because as soon as he enters an AU his dark negativity and dark magic that he radiates will start to either kill, destroy the mental of people or horrifically mutate anything like turning plants into carnivores that will eat anything or poisoning the water so bad it kills everything inside of it and the worse part the damage is unfixable.

Weaknesses-

Now after reading of his powers, you may wonder why would he need subordinates if he is this busted? Well nightmare isn’t someone who fights in skirmishes like in most comics with the bad sans vs stars sans, he is in fact the win condition instead as he can’t enter au’s with a lot of positivity as the positivity creates a barrier in which he can’t get through physical( but he still can get to people in their mind and dreamscape) but he can if the conditions are right to teleport a certain group of people who would happily create enough negativity so he can enter the AU and contaminate it permanently. I think this also makes the bad sans like the MTT more of a threat and gives them more importance as its normally up to them if nightmare can’t do much with his mind manipulation.

Dream (our protagonist) and his magic like always is his kryptonite and truly the only one who can truly challenge but since Nightmare grew far more powerful after the apple incident, Dream is unable to undo his contamination, but he can fight to stop his rampage from hurting anyone else in the universe.

Nightmare being passive is also a major weakness to him as it makes him sometimes fail with going through with a kill shot that would of killed or hurt dream. He will sometimes even get distracted and points when certain situations make him relive an old memory.

His relationships (Subject to change)

( The descriptions may be lacking as I wish to develop deeper into the characters and their dynamics when I have time to write the story.)

Killer sans/ Something new sans-

Something new sans and nightmare sans is vastly different from their toxic dynamic in Canon Dreamtale and Canon Something new comic series, with them having a king and their right-hand man friendship or a another way to look at it a bromance between two sarcastic assholes who have a lot of issues between the two of them. Killer was the first person nightmare ever recruited into his group with their being two years between Killers recruitment and Dust recruitment who was the next to be recruited, this led to them developing a bond where killer is able to get away with things that most people wouldn't be able to get away with and in any situation where Nightmare doesn't know what's coming and needs to bring at least on person to back him up its always going to be killer.

Dust-

Dust was the second person to be recruited by nightmare and this version of Dust sans quiet nature and Nightmares more serious and professional nature work really together. But they also struggle to communicate well with each other due to the distance that these two characters give each other as they refuse to stick their noses into each others business if they don't have too due to mutual respect for the other.

Horror-

Horror was actually the hardest for Nightmare to recruit due to the fact that unlike Killer and Dust universe which is pretty much dead in the Lucidverse. Horror sans still had people he cared about and looked after Snowdin and so Nightmare would have to put so much effort into contacting and recruiting Horror as Nightmare is a walking biohazard and would have ruined the Au if he went their without any prep. They ended up creating an Alliance between the two of them with an agreement that Nightmare would offer help in Horrors Au while Horror would offer his assistance in Nightmares plans.

The two have a good relationship as Horror is able to help with planning team exercises due to Horror having make shift leadership experience and Nightmare being a pretty isolated person all his life and being an entity of negativity struggles with emotions and with the fact that Nightmare has way more people under him other than the murder time trio like versions of Asgore, Undyne, Papyrus, Flowery and Muffet.

Horrors and nightmare relationship can be best described as business relationship that turned to a close relationship that has a deep understanding of each other.
