 إلهي إن كان هذا يرضيك فخذ حتى ترضى

Your words are not accidental, they expose you; the knowledgeable reveals her knowledge, the ignorant reveals his ignorance, the careful reveals his discretion, the reckless reveals her recklessness, the vain reveals his vanity, the humble their humility.

People speak sometimes about the “bestial” cruelty of man, but that is terribly unjust and offensive to beasts; no animal could ever be so cruel as a man, so artfully, so artistically cruel.
