“Use your words,” Felix taunted, slipping his finger out of her as quickly as he had put it in. He knew he was torturing her, but that wasn’t enough. “Not if you’ll share, too,” Gavin replied, balancing himself against the counter with one elbow as he pivoted to face the surprisingly young-looking, youthful were. “I own and run the Risqué Strip Club.”  There wasn’t an ounce of shame in admitting it, either, his smile didn’t waver one bit.  “What is it you do?  Based on the scent of motor oil, I’m guessing something with cars?”

micah smiled, chuckling with a nod. “fair enough,” she replied. she tilted her head. “oh. well that’s cool. i mean i’ve never been in a strip club but it’s cool you own and run it,” she replied, her own smile still in place. “oh uh yeah. that’s it. i’m a mechanic. you can smell that?” she asked curiously. she still wasn’t very good at identifying her own kind. 

“Well, that’s something,” he nodded, although he didn’t hear much about the wolves being mean to their own. “You sure you still wanna stick around? With everything going on in town… I didn’t think anyone would wanna stay who didn’t have to.” Or maybe that was just him.

micah nodded with a small smile. she was glad that no one had been defensive or stand offish about her hanging around. not that she had actually joined the pack. she didn’t even know if they’d let her. she nodded. “i need to. for at least a little while. i have to learn how to control this better. or learn what i need to know,” she said, hoping he’d understand. 

Gavin had the same idea, needing something to take the edge of a long night and day at the club.  He’d stayed over-long balancing the books which was about about as much fun as taking a grapefruit spoon to the eye socket.  Some liquid easing into a little time away couldn’t hurt, so he figured as he sauntered up to the bar and took a stool next to a young were who caught his eye. “Long day too, eh?” he broke the ice, balancing his elbows on the counter and sighing sympathetically. “Same.  And long night before it.  But that’s what comes from mixing business with pleasure, in my case.”

micah smiled at him, sliding into the seat next to him. “hey,” she greeted, laughing softly at the nickname. she didn’t mind. she knew she was small. “alright so far. pretty much, yeah. i haven’t met all of them or anything but no one’s been mean,” she answered. “still staying at the hotel though. gotta work up enough money to get my own place,” she chuckled. “how about you?”
