Tiny Joon

I keep forgetting to post Tiny Joon here, so these posts will be very sporadic. He’s just a Twitter boy. But here he is today!  

 A lot of the USA had snow today, but we just had misty foggy cold rain. It was a good day to stay indoors with a cuddly friend.

Poor Joonie! Yes he fell in the water (only the 2nd time ever) but he was undaunted. I dried him off and carried him in my mask until he was ready for more adventuring. (I rarely need my mask while Namjooning because I don't encounter many other people.)

Tiny Joon really dives in when he's streaming

Look at what Tiny Joon gave me, a Life Goes On ornament from ⁦@happilyeveretch⁩ . How did he know that I love all iridescent things? When the holidays are over, I’ll hang it in my window at work.

Tiny Joon and I also jointly received these presents, antique glass and quartz bonsai trees that I grew up with. I always loved them, and yesterday my parents let me take them for myself. I'd love a real bonsai, but these will be easier to take care of in our drafty old house.

Joonie got to open the present that was sent by a special friend, and look what he got! Little handmade needlefelted Koya and Tata! They're so adorable that we might explode. What a wonderful first Christmas for Tiny Joon. Thank you friend! 

Tiny Joon pays his respects at the nativity scene I grew up loving so much (especially the cow and donkey). Merry Christmas! 

 (Hmm, maybe I should have had him bring a gift, but I'm not sure what. They didn't mind though.)

Tiny Joon found his section on the Christmas tree with his own crab and giraffe ornaments and even a tiny present from a friend! He also found a hat that sort of fits, and a lonely whale that looks a bit whalien; an attempt was made to make a whale ornament a few years ago.

Our bull friends have gone away for winter, and this is where they go, the part of the farm that has all the cows. We stopped to see them a few days ago, and there were some adorable little baby calves too. They were curious but shy. They're our bull friends' babies!

Have a holly jolly solstice! Tiny Joon and I are excited that days will be getting longer and that spring days will soon return. If you're in the southern hemisphere, enjoy looking forward to autumn.

While photographing the last pink rosebud, Tiny Joon and I found another little bird's nest in the rose bush. We don't remember seeing any bird families here, so they were stealthy. It looks smaller than a mockingbird's this time, and mockingbirds are NOT stealthy. They like to scream.

Rainbow Day 7 pink throwback: Bush's poppy mallow (one of our FAVORITE flowers), tiny yarrow flowers, a garden patch of monarda aka bee balm, and a bouquet with pink vetch flowers.

Rainbow Day 7: I decided that the last day of rainbow week would be pink. And here's Joonie with the last pink rosebud of the year, a little scarred by frost but still lovely; "not so perfect but so beautiful," like the line from Epiphany.
