i love them so much, they’ve made such a great cosplay community and i can’t wait to get to see them again this october!

this is my OC Penumbra! he’s from the Dispatch universe and can control shadows.

he can use any shadow in the room, including his own, and move them around. he can also make them solid which allows them to grab things. the shadows act as a living thing that he’s simply learned to control, so sometimes they protest or do something funny. he’s also able to see in the dark, but this was something his body developed as he spent most of his childhood in a dark room.

the downside to his powers is that he cannot be in the sun or else he’ll get extremely bad sunburns that blister, so he has to cover all his skin. artificial lights are usually okay unless the skin is already burnt. his eyes are also sensitive to light so he’s usually wearing sunglasses, though he can spend time without them.

i need to flesh out his backstory more, but basically he spent his childhood in a basement because he would cause trouble. here he gains his powers and stuff but Shroud kidnaps him and later claims he had saved Penumbra from his parents. Shroud gives him augments that mostly cover his back but are seen all along his body that allow him to walk in the sun. he causes chaos working with Shroud until he’s caught by Waterboy and taken to SDN (Waterboy was only able to win because Penumbra discovered what love was). blah blah blah yeah!
