*Puts a normal sized carrot in a bag of baby carrots so they have adult supervision*

-Let your little know about exciting plans you have that day or when you’re busy and won’t be available

-Ask you little what their plans are

-Leave them to wake up to Good-Morning messages

-Let them know when you’re going to sleep so they don’t stay up waiting for you

-If they ask you a series of questions because they’re impatient then answer them ALL

-NEVER break a pinky promise

-Tell them you miss them or you’re thinking about them at random points in the day

-Give them a bed time and ask every morning if they went to bed on time

-NEVER ignore your little as a punishment

-Don’t expect them to always be the first to message you, we’ll feel like we’re annoying you

-Be honest

-Respond to just about every message even if it’s lightly changing the subject

-If they message you a paragraph or even a few, message them back just as much! Trust me we’ll love it and not feel too needy or obsessive

-Use emojis if you must to express emotions because sometimes we’ll misunderstand something genuine as sarcasm or something and not being able to read your expression is very frustrating to us sometimes because we feel useless

🎀 encourage them to take their pills,

🎀 keep their inhaler in your bag/pocket just in case,

🎀 make sure to love them just as much as they love you,

🎀 if they get sad make sure to cheer them up with colourings and stickers,

🎀 encourage them to do things such as shower and get dressed,

🎀 don’t get sad/mad if they’re too sad to pay all their attention onto you,

🎀 cuddle them close and make them feel safe,

🎀 if they’re struggling to do something, encourage them and tell them you’re proud,

🎀 be patient with them,

🎀 stay calm during mood swings - i know it’s scary but you need to stay calm,

🎀 comfort them,

🎀 if they have a past of self harm, make sure to keep them safe,

🎀 memorise techniques to calm them down during an anxiety/panic attack,

🎀 make sure they eat if they struggle with it,

🎀 remember that caregivers can have problems too, and it doesn’t make them any less of a caregiver.
