Who me?

“I know you’re not talking about unfair.” He spanked backed. “I don’t need to be him when dealing with filth like you.” He looked down at the city. “Them, I am hope for a better tomorrow for countless little boys and girls.” His despite his hard outer shell, Cameron truly cared for his city. He shook his head. “Some of us don’t have that luxury. We cower behind our money.” 

He remained silent. She made a valid point, her had nothing on her. Nothing solid but that would change even if he had dig and stick small piece together. He would amount enough evidence to damn her. “I’m suspicious of anything that comes form you.” He snapped. He clenched his fist but took a deep breath. Nothing would be more satisfying than lunching her into the sun but that was not his way. His wife, the union, the city and his country, no one questions his loyalties. “I am who I am.” 

“And that is entirely unfair” she pouted, before bringing her own cigarette to her lips, her eyebrow raising as he snapped at her “And here you always came across as the smiling poster boy for everyone to look up to. Not at all a reflection of your Trading Card are you?” she wondered, tilting her head at him. “Perhaps you are simply in need of a vacation, Cameron?”

Cameron bitterly looked a the women before him. He knew she was vile and he wanted nothing more than watch her rot behind bars. However she smart and covered her track, there was no way he could pin anything on her. “Listen bitch, you might have everyone in this city followed but not me. I know you’re scum and I’m going to prove it. And I will personally throw you in jail, and lock the door for good. And then I will single handily destroy everything you have, brick by brick, bolt by bolt. “ He hissed out. “Trash like you.”

If there was any chance of Cameron smiling, seeing Florence surely ruined. His lips pucker in disgust as if he were smelling soft eggs. “And what a displeasure to see you breathing. If you’re here then who’s warding off evil Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris?” He replied back. “The team is on and all will get done, no thanks to the generous help of you assets.” 

The idea of being so out in the spotlight, so looked up to and feared. It both scared Silvia, and made her nervous-exhilarated. She was never one for being out in the open, generally pretty keep to herself, but something deep in her seemed to yearn for it too. “It’s terrifying…. but…” 

Something about her sister’s words seemed to break through a little. She wouldn’t vocally admit it, but Florence was right. She was the host. She was in charge here. It depended on her. “I’m not lacking confidence” she murmurs quietly

“Really new, like very. Actually not that new I just have specific things I fixate on and none of those are entitled millionaires.” She shrugged. She laughed a bit. “No just the UK.” she said, “Maybe you just aren’t as important as you think you are.” She added and as she said it she knew it was a stupid idea. “Oh very nice. So you dig your hands in sometimes. Well done gold star.” She said it was a bit patronizing it was true and she really shouldn’t talk so much but she couldn’t help it. “Yeah hasn’t TIME basically been dead useless for ages now? Since it was sold off it really hasn’t had anything of importance. And who reads magazines anymore anyway?” She added scoffing. “No it doesn’t but it does have a certain link. Plus socially it’s frowned on. Though you can just buy your way out of that right?”

“Oooh, underneath all that idiocy have we found your sharp tongue and anger?” The woman laughed, shaking her head “Trust me, I wouldn’t make such an assumption if I were you” she warned in a much darker tone “It still holds more relevance than your small life every shall” she snipped back, the woman’s expression becoming that of a far more annoyed one. “I’d watch your tone with me, things can happen to people in this city who try and cross wires with me”

“You have no idea what I’m going through… Its not just pain… It… They know everything I ever knew, my fears, my love, my pain. They use it against me.”

“Good luck with that.” Jason said with a cocky grin. Wondering if he should spoil the news to her or allowing her to waste his time. He turned around flew off into the distance. 

“Come back with some evidence, Jason and we may be able to play another game of Chess” she purred, giving him a little wave with her pinkie, her smile immediately dropping when he left and becoming something more of a murderous expression.

“Yeah see I’m new. Big new face still learning.” She explained. “Just moved here from another country so I don’t know anyone.” She pointed out looking the woman over. “Oh, you’re the one with the self-aggrandizing lab with your name on it. Nice building! Kinda thought it’d belong to a man.” She admitted because really how was that not overcompensating for something. But she supposed everyone had to now and again man or woman. “Well, the labs are sure. But you’re just a big brain sitting in a big chair letting other, smarter people do your work for ya aren’t you?” she pointed out with a shrug. “I mean I’m not really expecting anything cause, and I repeat again, you started the talking I just wanted to help you not feel crazy talking to air.” She pointed out really having too much fun with this.

“Just how new can you be? Or did you just climb out of the sewer, or better yet the strange religious bunker you’ve clearly been kept in?” she scoffed “Of course, why not sign your name to something you are proud of?” she snapped back at her. “Hardly, I’m extremely hands on, I have many doctorates in robotics and sciences, I always create the new products if I can, if you hadn’t been in your bunker you would know that and read TIME magazine more often” she said with her own shrug. “Speaking outloud to ones self does not define mental instability”
