Years ago, I fell into the trap of NaNoWriMo, “Participants are tasked with writing a 50,000-word novel draft by the end of the month of November…Writers are instructed to prioritize speed and quantity over quality,…”  Obsessing one month a year made writing become a chore no longer a joy for me.

For the last two years I have been lazily attempting to write with no direction and no solid routine.

Today I overheard someone say I was off somewhere writing.  Sadly, I wasn’t writing.

I feel that I owe it to those who believe in me and mostly myself to start again!

Writing was a key part of my identity.  I want to try get back into story telling. Not word-count goals.

Got a frosted Coffee from not cow place added HP butter bear creamer and it is fire.

Caffeine got me "ass in chair" doing some computer file cleanup that I put on my "to do" list over a year ago. Deleting what no longer serves me. Lining up to get back to writing and then painting.

I miss who I was. Full of wonder and zero fucks. Boldly creating. Skipping school work and sleep to finish a drawing or write a story(by hand) at 3AM.

Now I put folding socks and loading the dishwasher ahead of my creative self.

I make plans to "get back into it" tomorrow.

Weeks. Months. Years of tomorrow.
