I don't want this darkness in my heart but I can't seem to find a light and the coldness in my soul won't seem to leave no matter how many blankets I pile on my body and I constantly feel as though I am drowning but no matter how hard I try I can't take the final inhale of water to free me of this.

Balance My thoughts have two tones of existence They scream in agony Crying out to be heard And all I want them to do is to be silent and give me a moment of peace And they listen And then they cease to exist I search the blank spaces of my mind Searching desperately for a single thought to hold onto But there is nothing there A complete silence I don't know what is worse The overwhelming pain Or the overwhelming nothing
