Travel in the 21st century!

Jeg er blevet ret vild med de her dyre-lysestager. Overvej lige hvor fine og sjove de er! Det er helt sikkert mit DIY project når jeg kommer hjem engang. 

One of my Australian friends wants to go to Copenhagen, and asked for some advice, I tried to think about what I really think represents the city, and I thought I would just share it with you.

Go to Christiania - and go behind like all the drugsellers - if you get to the lakes its a really nice area with lots of weird houses.

Do a canal-tour, you really learn a lot from it. This way you will also get to see Nyhavn.

Queens palace - preferably when the guards are changing!

Strøget (shoppingstreets) - but also all the small streets around Strøget like Fiolstræde, Gråbrødretorv (really nice restaurants on the square) and kompagnistræde.

If the weather is nice, make sure to go to some of all the parks or Amagerstrandpark (beach)

Remember to eat the danish open-faced-sandwich for lunch, also called "Smørrebrød", its a must  

If you want to see the city from the top you can go to Rundetårn - its in the middle of Strøget or the church with the gold tower right next to Christiania called Vor Frelsers Kirke

The little mermaid is overrated, but do it anyway. Be prepared to be a bit disappointed though. When you are already there take a good walk around Kastellet - it is beautiful. 

If you are there while Tivoli is open, don't miss out, this is one of my favourite places in Copenhagen.
