I don't want to live a life where I have to beg just to avoid going to bed hungry. If I had another way to survive with dignity, I would choose it without hesitation.

All I ask is for understanding before judgment. If you cannot help, I understand, but please don't assume the worst about someone whose only wish is to survive.

The heavy rains have brought so much suffering to our refugee camp. Many shelters have been destroyed, leaving families exposed to the cold and rain. As the floodwaters continue to rise, cases of malaria and other illnesses are increasing, especially among children and vulnerable people.

Many of us have lost the few belongings we had. We are trying our best to survive, but without safe shelter, food, and basic supplies, every day becomes harder.

My name is Fabrice. I am a trans woman and a refugee living in a camp, alongside other trans women. Our lives here are extremely difficult. Because of our gender identity, we face constant discrimination, insecurity, and exclusion. Every day is a struggle but we are still here, holding on and trying to survive.

We do not have jobs, and the little assistance we sometimes receive is not enough to meet our most basic needs. Many days we lack adequate food, clean water, medication, and essential items we need as girls. Some of our sisters are currently in the hospital, yet they have nothing to eat and no one to support them.

We are reaching out with humility and hope. Any support you are able to give through our GoFundMe will help us access food, medical care, and basic necessities. Your kindness no matter the amount can make a real difference in our lives and remind us that we are not forgotten.
