My name is Fabrice. I am a trans woman and a refugee living in a camp, alongside other trans women. Our lives here are extremely difficult. Because of our gender identity, we face constant discrimination, insecurity, and exclusion. Every day is a struggle but we are still here, holding on and trying to survive.

We do not have jobs, and the little assistance we sometimes receive is not enough to meet our most basic needs. Many days we lack adequate food, clean water, medication, and essential items we need as girls. Some of our sisters are currently in the hospital, yet they have nothing to eat and no one to support them.

We are reaching out with humility and hope. Any support you are able to give through our GoFundMe will help us access food, medical care, and basic necessities. Your kindness no matter the amount can make a real difference in our lives and remind us that we are not forgotten.

I don't want to live a life where I have to beg just to avoid going to bed hungry. If I had another way to survive with dignity, I would choose it without hesitation.

All I ask is for understanding before judgment. If you cannot help, I understand, but please don't assume the worst about someone whose only wish is to survive.

One of my trans sisters is going through an incredibly difficult time. She has been sick and has gone without food for the past two days. I'm trying to raise $58 to help her get food and the basic care she urgently needs.

The rainy season has become one of the hardest times for us in the camp. When the rain comes, it doesn’t just bring water it brings sickness and loss.

Many shelters are made of weak materials, and heavy rains destroy them overnight. People lose what little they have, including bedding, clothes, and food. Cold nights and wet conditions cause flu, malaria, stomach infections, and skin diseases, especially among children and vulnerable people.

Flooded areas contaminate our water sources, making it unsafe to drink. Without proper drainage or medical support, small illnesses quickly turn into serious health problems. Some families are forced to sleep outside or crowd into unsafe spaces after their shelters collapse.

We are trying to stay strong, but the rain makes survival even harder. What we need most is support stronger shelters, clean water, medical care, and basic protection during this season.

How can one complain that life is so hard when God still provides when you have access to food, the chance to survive, and the ability to eat breakfast, lunch, and supper? When you can receive medical care whenever you are unwell and even save money for a better future?

On this side of life, things are different. Some of us survive on unclean water. Sometimes we eat only one meal a day, often lunch, and only because of donations. We get sick and lie in pain, waiting until someone feels compassion and helps us pay for medicine.

Being LGBTQ in many communities is not just about hiding who you are. It is about surviving every single day.

Many LGBTQ people face rejection, violence, and deep discrimination simply for existing. Instead of love, they are met with hatred. Instead of protection, they are met with harm. Some are beaten, chased away, or denied basic needs like food, shelter, and medical care. Their bodies carry scars, and their hearts carry pain that words can hardly explain😔.

In many places, the community that should protect them becomes the source of their suffering. They are forced to live in fear, silence, and loneliness. Some go to sleep hungry. Some live without treatment for their injuries😭. Some lose hope, not because they are weak, but because the world has been cruel to them for too long.

LGBTQ people do not ask for special treatment. They ask for safety. They ask for dignity. They ask for the chance to live without fear🥺.
