the fun gang are like those kids you drive around for extra cash that you totally adore but they find you abysmally cringe.

kris especially. you and kris are like miles morales in that one scene with his dad in the first spider verse movie where he’s like “you gotta say i love you back” and you know kris absolutely shits on every joke you make like it’s their life goal.

and then you find out that ralsei, sweet and polite ralsei, is also actually kinda annoyed with you. it’s devastating.

susie and noelle are too busy playing footsie in the back to care much. it only serves to piss the other kids off more.

you end up being berdly’s honorary older sibling. the rest of them wouldn’t be caught dead with you in public. he actually talks to you when you run into each other at sans’ grocery store. you kinda hate it, but he grows on you like a fucking leech.

but after they all graduate (ralsei included because i’ll be damned if she’s not real by the end of this game) and get older, the groupchat that used to exist only for pickup times gradually becomes the place they all migrate to for any group plans back home.

toriel gives you lighthearted shit for it when you still show up at her doorstep, and sans gives you extra shit every time you’re stuck buying radioactive amounts of energy drinks for one or multiple prickly college students.

kris still shies away from physical affection. ralsei is a lot more open with her annoyance over a particularly stupid joke. susie and you end up getting along like a house on fire, and noelle gets dragged into whatever shenanigans you two pursue. berdly calls you five times in two minutes if his knee is bruised (“berdly, i’m not even your emergency contact. what the hell do you want me to do?” “you’re not?”)
