Each volume also includes an original mixed media painting created by Russell Mills specifically for the project. Brian Hurson served an old-fashioned apprenticeship back in Ireland, and learned to shave with a straight razor before he could do a haircut. He trained at the Waldorf Barbershop in Dublin, which has been open since 1929 and has legendary status in the barbering community. Brian is featured here at “Grist At The Mill,” a gathering of international master craftspeople invited by Energizing Co. Brian attended a three day hands-on event in Sault Set. Marie, Ontario, for the purposes of re-energizing the local maker community by encouraging locals and visitors to explore opportunities and pursue collaboration.
