Here I am doing Eloise’s makeup based off of one of my portraits using a colour for a base and white mascara. I used the same technique for the photoshoot but with green eyeshadow. Eloise had red & oranges to match the colour of her hair.

Here is the moodboard documenting all my ideas for the filming of my commercial, i go into detail of the meaning of the shots and music choices.
BTS of the photoshoot in Holly’s art installation on decaying. Here we had two outfit changes one in jeans and another in the bridal look, both using the flower & veil props. As the garment did fit me as it’s a bigger size we had to work around this by pinning together the back. In my photoshoot I wanted to experiment with artistic shots with the fisheye lens and also some more commercial shots to show the garment, both present the garment well in a commercial aspect but also in an artistic direction showing my progress of comfort in the photoshoot and taking direction of my own photoshoot and how I want it to be.
prepping for my photoshoot by dying an elbow length veil I bought as a prop to give it more a rugged, aged feel with tea & coffee.

This is my photoshoot moodboard, i wanted to keep it minimalistic with my main ideas for the shoot. My makeup inspired by my portrait but in a green pallete is included, unique poses to inspire me when modelling, props for the shoot to tell the story of my bridal garment (veil and dried/wilted flowers) and then a picture of a derelict building to represent the art installation about decaying art student Holly is allowing me to use aswell as the photography room.

Final design 6:
The last Schimmelserie design, alongside watercolour I used the technique of collage to add direct images from the collection aswell as my painting interpretations.

Another Schimmelserie inspired design in the medium of watercolours.

Final design 4:
Using Lizan Freijsen’s Schimmelserie as inspiration, I compiled all the rugs into varied sizes created an above the knee dress. I painted this with watercolours and used pencils to shade the skin. These next few designs inspired by Lizan’s rugs are all very intricate paintings emulating the shapes & colours that I see. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

Final design 3:
Once again using the molded orange as inspiration, I used the same media application as the previous two to create this design. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

Final design 2:
Inspired by the moulding of an orange, I picked out the colour palette and textures shown and applied that the my initial design. There will be three molded orange inspired designs all following the same media pattern. First I painted the trousers in water colour, then over the top layered it up with markers going from a dark browny red to orange. I went over the top of this with watercolour to smooth it out. For the top to recreate the texture I added puff binding that I later worked into with watercolours to create the dirty green shade on the mold. The texture of the puff binding against the monochrome orange is something I really like in these designs, I like the contrast of the two & how well they work together. @barnsleycollegefashionrocks

final design 1:
I have worked back into an original design with the desired colour palette and media that I wanted. For the skirt, gloves and veil I chose to use the medium watercolour as it can be used creatively to recreate certain fabrics, in this case toile, with its sheerness but then also to add some imagination I let droplets of orange paint drip down to show the imperfection of the skirt & how it’s meant to be perceived. For the bodice and head accessory of the veil I used puff binding, usually used on fabric, I applied it like normal to the bodice and veil and dried it with the heat gun, I think worked into it with watercolours. I think this technique was really successful as the mixed media works really well together and creates a 3D element with the puff binding really emulating my reference of a molded orange. This design is my final chosen design to go onto make as you’ve already seen, the bodice inspired my garment therefore I chose to paint it in the Schimmelserie palette instead of the original to show my development to where I found my garment. #fashion #fashionillustration #illustration #fashiondesign #design #art #fashionart
