#the mask isn’t up so he can lipread per se#ASL involves a lot of mouth morphemes#so signs are modified or clarified by what the mouth shape is#like the difference in signing the classifier for ‘the ball went very far’ and ‘the ball went moderately far’ is all in the mouth morpheme you use#so he was making sure clint could get those (via chekhovyourprivilege)
