My cousin just said musical theatre is easy compared to K-pop. I've never been so insulted. Why are there so many misconceptions that musical theatre is lesser or easy? It actually upsets me so much. I'm so fed up with hearing that musical theatre is a 'weak' industry.
I think both are hard and challenging in their own right. Why do you have to bring one down just to make one look better?
Musical theatre requires a lot of deep understanding, singing techniques, and various dance abilities. And I'm fed up with the amount of skill and talent being made out to be easy and less worthy.
The points he made to prove it was harder then musical theatre made my mind blow... for example, He said "You need to sing and dance in kpop, not to mention facial work." Excuse me? What do you think musical theatre does?
Sorry for the rant, but close-minded people enrage me. I feel like this needs to be talked about more, though...
