Hello! I made this side blog to vent and discuss people’s ever growing frustrations surrounding the radqueer + pro para movement.

-this blog is “profic aligned” as being an artist who creates “raunchy dark fiction” is a significant part of my anger surrounding these movements due to how often kinksters are wrongly looped in with them. That being said I will still be ranting about the proship community as there is a reason I do not use the label.

-asks welcome, feel free to ask questions or simply rant away. Not everyone has a space they can yell into the void about this so my inbox is always available for that. I will however delete any argumentative/radqueer asks.

-this blog is pro-recovery, therapy, mental health and is NOT against those with harmful paras existing and getting the help they need. It is simply a place to rant about harmful online para communities and the damage they cause.

Personally I'm a fan of mushroom girl, and seeing her make a video about underground subliminals (in a critical way) made me ask if she could make a video covering radqueer next! Just waiting to see if that ever happens. :)

Yeah 😭 it’s unfortunately pretty hard to find people not conflating the two. Despite that, Jessicur definitely has the most respectful video I’ve seen on the topic out of all the videos I’ve stumbled upon. There is other videos up about it but a LOT get off topic and start dogging on harmless things like inflatable fetishes and what not rather than sticking to the main discussion at hand. A lot of people making videos about it are mainly doing so for reaction bait than any sort of meaningful conversation.

I still decided to include gone_fishinq’s videos knowing about the situation with his girlfriend because he went into more detail than any of the other videos I’ve seen. I’m also kind of fascinated by the fbi investigation that occurred and how little effort was put into it by the agents involved. He’s definitely still guilty of conflating fictional art to real crimes though. 😓 I feel it’s almost inescapable these days rip

For starters, I know people say that it is heavily up to the individual whether exploring fiction helps them or hurts them but the fact that something I create could negatively impact someone at all is enough for me not to want my work used that way. I really don’t like the idea that something I create could be reinforcing bad habits for someone else.

I’m also incredibly horrified with how many anti contacts interact with pro contacts, or make posts thirsting after real children and animals. Me having these communities in my dni is simply me protecting my peace and keeping things that make me uncomfortable from popping up on my feed.

So my sexually intrusive thoughts actually came about because of proship antis. They always say stuff like “I bet you secretly want that irl!!!” Which of course is incredibly unhelpful to those with bad mental health lmfao.

So my intrusive thoughts were definitely more incest focused because that’s the main taboo subject I enjoy in fiction but I did suffer from pocd as well. Any time a commercial with babies would come on I would mentally cringe in preparation because I knew my brain would start to say things like “I bet a pedophile finds this hot!” Or “what if I realize I’m unconsciously into this??! I have to look away because I’d rather just not even know!!!”

And of course the incestuous intrusive thoughts. As a teenager I would sit by my brother at the lunch table but every time I did I would get flashes of sexual interactions with him in my brain that would make me feel like curling up in on myself and dying.

Sometimes the intrusive thoughts would be about random people, cashiers who I would walk up to and immediately think of sex with them against my will, followed by the idea of them being a mind reader and seeing me thinking these things.
