You should definitely watch it, if you haven’t already! Character belongs to vivziepop , who does amazing animations and I just love her stlye in general. I was lucky enough to help color a bit for Viv’s thesis film Timber. Her work was defiantly a push for me to attend SVA, and I’m going into my 3rd year now. The animation won the Dusty award for Outstanding Achievement in Character Animation! I’m so happy for her, that I whipped up this drawing of the title character! Here’s to you!

The Dusty awards for animation are being announced by legendary animator Ralph Bakshi! TIMBER WON! For Outstanding Character Animation!

I am, beyond honored -still- It's such a blur, While working on this film I never imagined I would be getting on stage and receiving an award for something I had done. It was magical, but I was insanely nervous and in shock. I was shivering, and I won't live down how I at first just stared at Ralph's hand instead if shaking it haha.

I sought him out directly afterward just to shake his hand, and he more directly congratulated me on "Timber" which was surreal.

Tonight was amazing. I really do need to thank my INCREDIBLE coloring team, you guys -I literally could not have done it without you, You guys were very on top of things, and I really hope I did you proud with the end result <3 Thank you for volunteering your time to this.

I thank all of you guys on tumblr watching and sharing my film! It means the world to me! Congratulations to the other winners! All the winners were beyond deserved, and I am so happy and proud for all of my fellows and their fantastic films!

Thank you all for making Timber a success!
