WHAT I WANT TILL IT HURTS

“Well, shame on you for not being HERE or THERE while I was THERE and HERE.” Jamie uses expressive gestures to accentuate his point, pointing down between them.

Excitement disguised as heat shuffles down his spine and floods his gut. Jamie fell hard and fast in love every other month it seemed. His ex wife would concur that his idea of love at first sight, as grand and thrilling in the moment, dissolved eventually when marriage truly became a reality. He was constantly seeking the party in life, and she was looking for a man to settle down with and have a family. As willing as he was to supply the family, there was no settling down in his near future. Not in some boring house with a boring job.

Arms sling around her waist loosely, chasing her lips offered so sweetly yet being deprived so quickly after. "Nope, no, and here's why- Okay, from the moment I saw you, I knew that I loved you. I love you. So it would be painful to hold it in any longer than I have already. And we were so clearly meant to be in each other's lives, so let's go somewhere tonight. Anywhere in the world, baby, I'll follow you anywhere."

Jamie shrugs, tossing a few empty beer cans that were sitting on the couch so that he could plunge into the cushion. He pats the space beside him, offering no other seat other than the one his arm rests on the back. Truthfully, he never thought much of it. The guys fought, naturally, they were men. It was what they did. When one pissed the other off or banged the groupie that another called dibs on...? It got physically heated pretty quickly, but anything could be settled and extinguished with some time to cool off and a couple of drinks.

"These are the coolest guys in the world. Why wouldn't I want to spend all the time with them? Just means it's always a party!" The drummer giggled, squeezing round Enna's shoulders. "Alright, tell me about you. What do you do? Where are you from? How long have you followed us on tour? I wanna know alllll about The Great and Sexy Enna." Brows raise cheekily, face pressed an inch closer than necessary.

"The kind you drink at." Jamie prattles, momentarily distracted by his friend Nikki who drags him into a one armed hug slung around his shoulder.

"And Partyyyy-" Nikki whoops. He is unaffected by the newest addition to the group, needing no name to pair with the face because it will be forgotten as soon as it's heard. Only one thing stick in that head of his, and he's working on dragging Jamie and Don towards the bus to get to it.

Jamie just barely reached back to grab her wrist and pull her along, cackling loudly into the night. "I knew you were cool!" He praises, gratefully accepting the flask and manages to get one meager sip before Nikki has stolen it and it helping himself. Upon reaching the bus Nikki deposits it back into Jamie's hands, head tilted back to swallow a burning mouthful and return it to its owner.

He holds the door of the bus open, bowing dramatically, "Ladies first,"

Consumed by the music she'd been listening to her eyes had locked onto the musician. He was handsome and as he leant over the stage she still wasn't sure what she expected until lips met hers. It was surprising but she found herself leaning into it, the screams of fans around them drowned out until the other breaks away. Eyes scan his face, smile broadening before she disappears into the crowd and towards the backstage.

Adrenaline pumps through his veins as he bathes in the light of the stage. Rhythm and time bend to his will at the stroke of two sticks wielded in his hands. It's as if the very hearts of their fans are simultaneously put under his spell to beat in accordance to his sound. Better than any high he chases, more potent than any drugs offered on this earth, Jamie plays with everything he has to offer.

His heart is still racing as he and his band mates take their final bow, led by a team of security to the back where a group has gathered to meet the band in the aftermath. He's given a sharpie in preparation, lodging a cigarette between his lips while scanning the masses for someone interesting. The lights on stage are blinding, but he would have recognized that smile from just one glance. The hottest woman in the front row. How could he forget?

His hands come to cup her face, eyes wide with glee as an impressive set of pearly whites flash. "I am in love with you!!" He speaks with passion seeping from his pores, or perhaps its only sweat. He kisses her, a little more organized without the jostle of bodies surrounding them or the odd angle at which he had bent down while on stage to reach her. "My sexy lover, where have you been all of my life?"

Jamie's eyes trail to her hand, easily amused by the odd nature of such formality. He complies anyways, unable to remember the last time he used a proper handshake as a means to greet another person.

"Well, fuck, Enna, why didn't you say so earlier? We could have been partying this whole time!" Hands stretch out in front of him, raised like a question. His laugh is loud and short, waving her along as he goes to turn back in the direction of his band, "C'mon, we're going to a bar; you should tag along."
