Very curious, anyone care for a TADC Dreamscape AU comic?
I have a few ideas percolating 👀
not to be a hedonist but. pleasure IS the whole point, my loves. we are made for pleasure. humans have not survived out of spite or sheer grit or simply to make more humans. we live for pleasure. the pleasure of licking the last delicious crumbs off your fingers and feeling sunlight on your skin and massaging a loved one's shoulders. we're made to fill our bellies with delicious food, to nap in soft grass, to touch each other in joy and comfort.
there is no shame or guilt in our bodies doing what they were made to do. and we are made for pleasure.
You're just a mammal. Let yourself act like it. Your brain needs enrichment. Your body needs rest. You feel hunger and grow hair. You need to pack bond with other sentient things so you don't become unsocialized and neurotic. You are biologically inclined to seek dopamine and become sick when chronically stressed. Outrage about hedonism is made up to place moral value on taking pleasure in sensory experiences. I am telling you that if you don't let yourself be a fucking mammal, as you were made, you will suffer and go insane. No grindset no diets no trying to be above your drive for connection. Pursue what makes you feel good and practice radical rejection of the constructs meant to turn you into a machine. You're a mammal.

A fun silly idea that's been in my wip pile for far too long! Lily and I have played around with a scenario that involves a young Kalio meeting and befriending Song, in an AU where her planet wasn't conquered by Prime. She made a crown of shells for him <3
Does this fit the Ocean theme besides the shells? I argue it does! Kalio is Nautican, an aquatic species. The only inhabitable areas on her planet are the water and coastland.
If you haven't checked out Across the Known Universe, please do! It's an engaging look at how a galaxy far away from Etheria is dealing with Prime and the Galactic Horde.

You might’ve already explained this, but what specifically is the dreamscape AU about?
I have not, thank you for asking!
The Dreamscape AU is fairly similar to TADC canon for the most part, but instead of exploring the characters' personalities and backstories mostly in Caine's adventures... it takes place within the *dreams* of the characters themselves.
This isn't by mistake, it was designed with purpose by a very familiar face.... But! One little funky AI decided to go beyond his programming, so here we are now.
All of this leads to the characters accepting themselves and their circumstances, helping them shed their old identities and embrace a new future.
For the story's sake though, lemme share how the set-up goes:
Each week, the cast are given a set of adventures to stimulate their minds as per usual.
While this is happening, their dreams are being logged and filed away for future use.
At the end of each week, one dream is selected to become that week's final adventure. This can range from silly nap-dreams...
...to all-encompassing *nightmares.*
The nightmares are one of the worst things the cast members can endure in the dreamscape, with most cast members abstracting if the nightmare is powerful enough.
However, through the power of togetherness, most of them will turn out fine in the end~
