âAll Death Knights are cruel, heartless, and emotionless.â
Mhm sure tell that to the npc who starts talking bout her grandkids and that she loves em as soon as you go up to her
âOh hello Deathlord, bringer of death and destruction, lemme tell you about my family whom I miss and care about a lot.â
Also case in point is how like, half the lines your combat allies/bodyguards saying that you all stand together, fight as one, etc

ilâgynoth: âthe boy king serves at the masterâs table. three lies will he offer you.â â anduin: âi am sorry, friends, i cannot help you with this. i am bound by this throne and the responsibility itâs tied to. but you have my blessings and whatever champions you sway to your cause.â â ogmot the mad: âthe bladeâs eye watches all. why do you not see? the first of the lies has been offered. bound by a throne? no⌠boundless. the next will come soon.â
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Okay so Blood Elves live in a very warm environment. Eversong looks like itâs in a permanent state of SPRING, so most of the elves in that area are accustomed to warm weather and such. Which means in slightly colder environments the elves end up suffering because good Light they did not bring enough layers with them.
That being said, please imagine someone like Lorâthemar, stuck traveling to a place for a meeting with less than fair weather, and heâs sitting there during the entire meeting looking like this
counterpoint: look at the position of quelâthalas on the world map. that shit is way up north, so sinâdorei perception of what âwarmâ is must vastly differ from ours (âoursâ being me as a fellow southern californian desert-dweller). elves must be accustomed to a nice, tepid spring temperature of 60°F/16°C or so, a la this image:
conversely, lorâthemar has to attend a meeting in orgrimmar andâŚ
I canât believe I didnât think about it this way, you are absolutely right omfg
Unlocking Allied Races in Battle for Azeroth
According to Wowhead, these are the current requirements for unlocking allied races in BFA.
Have a Battle for Azeroth license on your account.Â
Have at least one level 110 character on the server you are planning to unlock the Allied Race on.
Complete the following quest and reputation requirements. These requirements seem to be account wide at the moment, so you donât need to do them on an appropriate faction character.
Highmountain Tauren: Complete the Loremaster achievement for Highmountain (Ainât No Mountain High Enough) and have exalted status with the Highmountain Tribe.
Nightborne: Complete the Loremaster achievement for Suramar (Good Suramaritan) and have exalted status with the Nightfallen. Note that completing the Insurrection storyline is not necessary.Â
Void Elf:Â Â Complete the Loremaster achievement for Argus (You Are Now Prepared) and have exalted status with the Argussian Reach.
Lightforged Draenei:Â Complete the Loremaster achievement for Argus (You Are Now Prepared) and have exalted status with the Army of the Light.
Travel to the appropriate factionâs capital and choose to recruit the Allied Race of your choice, then complete the resulting scenario.Â
to get the dark iron dwarves you gotta eat out Moira Thaurissan
iâll buy BoFA if going down on moira is an in-game option

How very Roxas of you, Sora
alliance scum: ugh the horde gets to have nightborne and zandalari this horde bias fucking sucks blizzard is always catering to the horde
me, reflecting on how horde characters are either brilliant and sidelined n ignored, corrupt or killed anticlimactically, our cities are significantly smaller than alliance ones and donât have many tourist spots, whenever we get content it usually revolves around orcs in the most obnoxious way ever, our warchief volâjin who was an amazing character with great potential got nothing for a whole expansion only to be killed off and everyone forgets him, meanwhile varianâs death is memorialized, had a whole questline revolving around his mourning son, and is constantly referenced by blizzard as a tearjerker; anduin, one of the most intelligent and promising characters in the franchise is currently leading the alliance meanwhile the horde gets sylvanas, whose character is being butchered every step of the way as she suddenly decides she wants to wage war for no reason, dragging the horde into hell with shit writing, shit characterization, and wasting brilliant potential at every possible turn possible, making it feel like the horde hardly has any reason to even be together at this point while the alliance gets to unite gloriously and valiantly in bright and shining armor as we dig our own graves with every content update, not to mention that legion has pretty much had 90% of alliance screentime the entire fucking expansion: horde bias, huh?
I'd like to amend this with saying that content centers around MALE orcs in the most obnoxious way ever.

waaaaait void elves have draenei tentacles growin out the back of their head?
YALL ITâS NOT THEIR HAIR
THOSE ARE TENTACLES MY DUDES weirdly draenic tentacles, and maybe theyâll have glowy effects on em later but theyâre definitely FLESH
Thanks! I hate it!
imagine how weird and depressing battle for azeroth must be for night elf demon hunters, specifically. imagine that youâre like this ancient undying warrior who has dedicated thousands upon thousands of years to the singular, worthy goal of stopping the burning legion from destroying everything and in doing so you have had to isolate yourself completely and turn your back on your own people for their protection. you had like no idea what was happening in the rest of azeroth for an incredibly long time most likely because you were in exile and the only people you could rely on were your fellow illidari. iâd like to reiterate that this is all happening over the course of ten thousand years plus. and then finally when the legionâs conquest of azeroth is thwarted seemingly for good and sargeras is locked away, instead of being able to celebrate with your brethren youâre suddenly told that you canât talk to any of your blood elven siblings in arms, the ones you had taken under your wing many years ago because you could empathize with their struggle better than anyone else in the world, because of a slap fight over an ugly human kingdom you just heard about ten minutes ago, and also your mentor and leader whom you have followed devotedly for all this time went to space forever so now you have to go to stormwind and take orders from a baby in a fischer price lion helmet. just think about how discombobulating that must be

no. 5: with their family. for draecember. @axecrushâs praskoviya with her granddaughters lokria and sauda.
praskoviya lived decades of her life not knowing that her half-orc daughter survived the death of draenor, and even had kids of her own. luckily, alternative draenor allowed the family to piece together the clues and finally meet.
MY FEELINGS!!
Of all the writing tragedies Blizz has done, I think one of the worst was never letting the Horde live up to its potential as a melting pot of different races. Like, the Alliance isâŚan alliance. But The Horde is Family â˘, man, and thereâs so much space for cultural cross pollination and other wonderous things.Â
Im also kinda bitter that we never really saw goblins, trolls, tauren, blood elves patrolling Orgrimmar. Iâd loved to have seen them in the Kor'kron. Maybe weâll see that with Vol'jin as Warchief, if he decides to try and redeem the organization.Â
But canât you just imagine something like this?
The Earthen Ring and the Cenarion Circle, flush off their victory of reclaiming the Plaguelands, now come to retake the Ghostlands. To purge the last holds of the Scourge and the Plague from Azeroth. And they peel it away, acre by acre. It takes time, lots of it, and while they work, people come to help, to watch. Tranquillen EXPLODES with people, traders and scholars and logistics people just there to support the cleansing effort. And the Sindorei stand and watch with wonder - so much delight and happy tears, and so many painful ones - as their land comes back. But its so empty. So many of the families and grand estates that occupied those lands are ghosts now, slaughtered to the last. Thereâs nobody there to reclaim it all. Except for all the traders, the visitors, and people looking to restart lives far away from Orgrimmar. And thereâs a lot of empty land, more than what the Sindorei could ever hope to reasonably occupy with their numbers. So Silvermoon offers deeds in exchange for gold to fill their depleted coffers and people start to come by the scores, setting up communities to farm the fertile land, to fish the full rivers, to bring shipments up and down the Elrendar River to the goblin steamboats waiting to haul the art, the furniture, the clothes, the weapons all being made inside Silvermoon or the burgeoning trade town of Tranquillen to Kalimdor. It becomes this massive pile up of different Horde races. The trolls settle along the river and teach their neighbors how to fill their nets with dozens of fish at a time, versus plucking them one by one with a fishing line. The tauren bring their wind-powered mills and grind the golden wheat they grow into flour and bake into earthy, hearty breads that become staples of the local diet. Refugee orcs come and bring their smithing craft to the forges where they argue and fuss with elven smiths over power verses finesse, sturdiness against portability, and just how many enchantments you can inscribe into plain, good steel before it comes apart. The Forsaken bring their alchemy studies, but instead of brewing plague, a foundling medical academy springs up next door to the Sanctum of the Sun, where chemistry is wielded in tandem with magic to cure ills and repair injuries. And the goblins? Oh the goblins have never been happier, with their pockets lined with taxes and fees on the products coming out of the former Ghostlands, renamed Summerlands, and the Sunsail Anchorage is having to be expanded AGAIN to fit all the ships requesting harbor. The races pile up on top one another in this strange, mish-mash, jumble of a community, filling out the vacant estates with villages and farms and families everywhere. The Dead Scar, even cleansed of its Scourge taint, is still barren and infertile soil. So its paved into a wide, white stone highway, going from Thalassian Pass straight to the new gate where the Ruins of Silvermoon have been rebuilt. Names of victims, of whole lineages, are magically inscribed into each flagstone, a memorial full of sad memory and wondrous hope. Orgimmar remains the military and logistics center of the Horde, its airtowers shuttling members of the Horde across Azeroth. But Silvermoon is the cultural and artistic center, now. Schools of learning, new industry, and a culture clash thatâs created some of the best cuisine north of Pandaria. (âTallstrider kababs! Tauren vegetables! Sin'dorei glaze! Cooked over orcish smoke pit with goblin tech and served with troll rice! Come and get âem!â) And a whole generation of Horde grows up under those trees calling tauren, trolls, elves, Forsaken, orcs, and pandaren âneighborâ and âfriendâ. Its the answer to a question Lor'themar never knew he had. A question heâd been struggling with in the background of all the strife and madness of his life since he took up the mantle of Ranger General. How to bring their people back to glory, how to rebuild Silvermoon, how to recover from all the treachery. Come to find out, he didnât need to do much at all. It was the answer that Vol'jin had been looking for, how to reweave the bonds of fellowship between what had become hated enemies. To make the Horde strong again. To make the promise that he, Thrall and Cairne had made in the red dust of Durotar a life ago. (âCairne would be happy,â Thrall rumbled as his daughter reached for a long loop of his beard again, âhappiest of all of us, I imagine.â) This was that promise made real, a truly united Horde, in every sense of the word.
