“you’re  the  one  who  BANGED  into  me!”

IT’S NOT THAT HE FINDS THE CONCEPT OF GROUND RULES FUNNY, he’s just surprised. Surprised and admittedly PROUD of the maturity Daisy was showing. ( And maybe he shouldn’t be, after all, she is his daughter. ) He just nods AT FIRST, the movement slow as he absorbs her words.

“A’right, that’s fair.” He admits, his mouth catching into a SMILE. “Rather not poison y’ so soon after gettin’ y’ BACK, yah?” He can JOKE about his lack of cooking skills too, Daisy! “That’s fair, though, just – we gotta COMMUNICATE.” He makes a vague gesture with his hand. “I wasn’t very good at that before, huh?”

It’s softer, more APOLOGETIC, reflective. ( He’ll probably never stop feeling guilty. )

she  had  to  grow  up  fast. being  the  daughter  of  the  worst  cop  in  britain  made  you  have  to  do  that.  if  she  hadn’t  grown  up  quick  ,  she’d  have  been  EATEN  alive  in  school.  people  don’t  like  to  forget  things  ,  especially  kids. even  with  a  new  school  ,  a  change  of  surname  ,  you  still  had  to  grow  up.  

there  was  a  soft  laugh  that  escaped  her  lips  as  she  heard  his  joke  back.  it  was  lovely  and  something  she  needed.  to  hear  his  joke  and  to  hear  how  soft  her  dad  still  was.  time  hadn’t  changed  him. “yeah  ,  we  do  need  to  communicate  and  to  NOT  lie.” maybe  a  slight  dig  but  whats  the  point  in  communicating  when  you’re  going  to  lie.

“You wouldn’t dare!” Klaus gasps in mock offense, placing his hand over his heart in a wound motion. They both know she won’t send the birds after him. “Leave those poor birds alone, they don’t deserve to be sent after people in some kind of revenge tactic!”

there  was  a  roll  of  rosie’s  eyes  as  she  heard  what  klaus  said.  they  did  have  a  point.  she  couldn’t  hurt  them  at  all. “i  don’t  know.  i’m  pretty  sure  they  don’t  like  you.”  rosie  spoke,  smirking  lightly  at  them. “so  please  ,  stop  wearing  my  crops.  you  can  WEAR  anything  else  just  not  the  crops.”
