Sorry it took so long to reply, I’ve been in work so didn’t have time to sit down. I’m assuming this is Top 5 at the moment as well but if it’s all time let me know.

Also this is who I think is the 5 best footballers not my five favourites. The way I base it off is a mix of form and overall ability so just because a player is in form don’t mean they top 5.

1- Sam Kerr- This is the obvious pick. She does it for club and country consistently. The amount of times she’s had to put a team on her back and delivered is amazing and the fact that she still got goals in those horrible Sky Blue teams just shows her talent.

2- Amandine Henry- Best midfielder in the world without a shadow of a doubt. The way she is able to control a game is unparalleled and she can also chip in with gaols and assists if needed. Honestly to appreciate Henry you need to watch her because her statistics aren’t going to jump out at you like Kerr’s would but once you watch her you understand how much she impacts the game.

3- Lucy Bronze- I have to admit I’m slightly biased because I’m also a full back but I feel like it’s quite universal that Bronze is a top 5 player, just the ordering might change depending on preference. She’s England’s best player and for such an attacking full back she rarely lets it affect her defensive duties.

4-Julie Ertz- Best defensive midfielder in the world. Don’t know if many people noticed but it was always Ertz who would cover and cut out the danger if any of the US full backs were caught too high up the pitch and she was also key to the United States pressing during the World Cup. She does the little unnoticed things so well and I appreciate that so much in a player.

5- Vivianne Miedema- This was a tough choice between Miedema and Tobin Heath ngl. I’m a sucker for a winger who actually likes to go at defenders and get crosses in but what Miedema did last season at Arsenal was amazing. Even though she didn’t have the best World Cup, let’s be real the entire Netherlands team didn’t play to their best so part of that dip in form can’t really go on Miedema. Can’t deny her goal scoring and at this moment in time she’s she second best goal scorer in the world to me.
